Jill Dillard: "They're used to exploiting women."
In an interview with Fox News host Megyn Kelly that ran on Friday, two of the Duggar daughters who were victims of their brother’s inappropriate sexual touching called out the magazine that illegally released the records that not only revealed the identity of their brother Josh (who was a juvenile at the time), but also indirectly identified the victims.
Jill Dillard, the second daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, told Kelly that she suspected there might be an agenda behind the story. “I mean, I know that the tabloids that released this, even have — you know, they’re used to exploiting women. They have the parent company –”
“Well, Bauer…they’re a major porn provider…” her sister Jessa Seewald interrupted.
“So I don’t know if they are — maybe their mindset, they’re just used to making objects out of women and maybe we just didn’t seem any different,” Seewald continued.
Jill and Jessa are members of the conservative Christian family that has been featured in the reality TV series 19 Kids and Counting, and the young women are spot on about the background of the company that publishes In Touch magazine.
Bauer Media Group, based in Hamburg, Germany, publishes 600 magazines, over 400 digital products, and 50 radio and TV stations around the world, including In Touch magazine, the publication that uncovered the story of the abuse in the Duggar home. They also traffic in porn — some of it Nazi-themed., as you’ll see on the next page.

The Duggar sisters are absolutely correct. In Touch and Bauer Media Group make money, in part, by exploiting women and trafficking in content that sexually objectifies women. The young women in the Duggar family who were victims of sexual abuse by their brother were victimized a second time by a magazine that treated them, not as accidental collateral damage in their honest efforts to report a legitimate news story, but as an integral part of a business model based on sexual exploitation of women. They exploited the sexual abuse suffered by the Duggar sisters for money, pure and simple. And they’ve done it with countless other women over the years. Disgusting.

I find it beyond twisted and creepy, the need by some, (remind me of the pigs in Animal Farm some are above the rest) that need to type over and over the crimes committed. Did you ever consider for an instant that any of the victims might stumble upon your disgusting repetition of crimes committed.

Oh, NOT a Dugger fan, do not watch the tv show. My tv came with a remote that allows me the freedom to watch what I chose or turn it off. Refuse to read the leaked whatever its proper title is. And I did not watch Meggin's show with the parents or whomever else she interviewed. What I have read by the 'GET the DUGGER' harpies', tells me they do not give one wit about the victims.

Did I miss Son of Sam asking for therapy and forgiveness from his victims that he KILLED????? OMG! We are NOT CONDONING touching his sisters, but he atoned, got therapy and his victims have forgiven him....it’s the Christian way.
I don’t know how he atoned for what he did. He allowed his victims to cook and clean for him for years after. What atonements did he do for them, or for victims of child sex abuse (sometimes atonement might mean donating to help other victims if you can’t really help your own) in general?
I see no evidence that he got actual therapy. He got “cult therapy” from an adult sex offender, and counseling from a pedophile cop who is now serving time for child porn.
His victims are coerced by their family situation to publicly forgive. They were not given a choice.
If the above is enough for you as a Christian, I don’t understand the Christian way. Why would another Christian get special moral benefits because of what he says he believes? You don’t feel this way about Roman Polanski, too, do you?
If you were the judge of who needs punishment or further treatment, two men could come before you in court and one could say he’s atoned and been forgiven, and the other could be sullen, and you’d let the atoned one go. As did Huckabee, and got some cops eating lunch murdered.

I’ve never heard of the Duggars. BUT, it’s everywhere now. And it is getting airplay for two reasons. One, media LOVE taking down Christians. Two, and more importantly, Ted Cruz has a picture with Duggar.
Maybe some are just viscerally disgusted by what went on in that household, and can’t believe the lengths to which supporters will go to minimize it all.

It is Gothard’s (who by the way had numerous sexual abuse allegations himself and was forced out of his own ministry) teachings thst are hogwash!
Yeah, but here’s the thing: People shouldn’t have to give up their rights just because they go on TV or just because other people don’t like them. What do you think will happen going forward? If there’s another family in this situation, do you think they’ll be eager to rush to the police to tell their story? I don’t.

There’s a second consideration too... we now have rabid “protective service agencies” that can end up harming children and families worse than if the problem was dealt with in place.
Back when the law cared mainly about penalties for wrongdoers this wasn’t an issue. Now the law has tried to be all to everyone.
But add an individual, you she do feel the necessity to damn, over and over and over again, someone who did wrong. Isn't "society" made up of individuals? So if everyone was like you, there would be constant damnation but no relief? No one should have to say when any punishment or rehabilitation was enough, but everyone should be able to persecute forever?
What, exactly, is the goal of such an approach?
