Jimmy Carter was a failure of historical proportions. Yet he still has a sense of self-righteousness and feels entitled to pontificate and lecture others. He damaged the country in incalculable ways and he should be thankful that Reagan was able to clean up the ugly mess he made of everything.
One would think he would have learned to have a little humility by now.
I don’t feel, I know I am superior to Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, etc. I also know I am intellectually inferior to Walter Williams and Ben Carson, etc.

Keep in mind that the Left is working hard to make the word "American" mean whites, particularly the kind that marry, raise families, get educated, succeed in life and love America. Minority kids are encouraged not to become American.
The Democrat Party is a party of fakers. Jimmy never was what he pretended to be. His worldview has caused real harm throughout the world. Looking at the wreckage, Jimmy Carter simply cannot or will not take responsibility. He knows nothing and he has learned nothing. Why take a guy like that seriously?

Somebody is doing a lot of “clinging” and it is just about all on the side of the liberal establishment. They formulate a straw man about what they suppose their opposition to be, build a whole playbook around that figment of their imagination, and they hang on to that same playbook for decades.
The problem is, the opposition ACCEPTED those premises, and filled the expectations of the liberal establishment for so long, that those who knew from the beginning it was a lie, have now accepted the lie themselves.
Talk about “clinging” - the perception that conservatives are racist, sexist, homophobic, gun-toting, Bible-thumpers is just one that the other side cannot give up. The prejudice they exercise against all thing even remotely Republican is no less corrosive or unfounded than a xenophobic dislike of just about everyone else on the outside of the small core of the elite who have joined in the Borg, and the cloud of sympathizers who surround them.
Just because Jimmy Carter has expressed his own guilt about how badly he treated the “minorities” (and in his instance, sometimes on a very personal basis), does not mean that I or a large number of compatriots have to go about in a posture of abject submission the rest of OUR lives.
Merit knows no skin color or ethnicity.

And even that is just a proxy - their true hatred is focused on Christians. All those cultural behaviors you describe are based on Judaeo-Christian values.

Obama is not going away. He’ll be injecting himself into everything and the media will be happy to continue giving him a big stage to perform on. He intends to redefine the role of an ex-president to be the ongoing “conscience and guiding light” of the country. Yes, it sounds absurd, but the absurd seems to rule the day in this country now.
Narcissists like him have no humility and crave constant attention. As you said, he will be sharing his unsolicited “wisdom” for the next 30 years.
Sounds like Jimmy is engaging in transference. I’m starting to believe all these accusations are really how liberals deal with their own deap-seated prejudices. I don’t think whites are really listening anymore. There’s been so much damage done to “white America” without any progress made on behalf of minorities that there’s really no reason to listen. Given that so much damage has been done to America and the Constitution using a warped and skewed view of civil rights, the liberals only offer a suicide pact for our human rights.
