As we cannot go back in time to actually “observe” how the ice buildup took place, in theory, it could have taken even less than 1,929.2 years.

I had a conversation with a climatologist who was part of a larger team about two years ago, who had recorded snowpack, in several lower latitude locations, which had grown in depth every month of the previous 3 years.

I’m just assuming that the ice build up rate is linear. I wouldn’t be surprised if the ice was less than 1,929.2 years.

Another very interesting fact is that both polar regions were home to very large subtropical/tropical forest at one time. Antarctica may well have had the single largest area of tropical vegetation in the world. Of course it is frozen/fossilized.

This is widely documented.

Also widely documented are the coldblooded ectotherms found in the area of Canada near and on Axel Heiberg island toward the northern portions of Greenland. In more recent years, many islands in this area have produced various species of coldblooded ectotherms.

Bottom line, obviously there was a time in the past when the whole of the earths climate was much more temporate than it is today. Evidence proves there was a time when our polar regions were actually warm, without ice, at least in lower elevations.

Interesting stuff.

I agree on this young earth stuff being invalid 6000 years as earths age is not biblical in any way...

Certainly it is. Not only in the genealogy, But also in the Prophecy, not to mention the purpose of the Jubilees... The dating is necessarily pretty tight knit... OR *none* of it is true and reliable. Take your pick.

Adam is the point you can ever began to try to use using years lived and generation to count years

If Adam is not the progenitor of all humanity, then one has the conundrum of those present prior, and presumably parallel, to to Adam not being included in the original sin.

I find what passes for science these days to be ridiculous. So I guess we're even.

You give me a start date listed in the bible..or are you taking Adam + 6 days....you do God and the bible a disservice playing these silly counting games

You have a timeless God of an infinite universe and your trying to restricted him and his creation to a minuscule box of time a man can understand.... how does the infinite God explain to the finite mind of man...

Nonsense. What is the counting there for then? If you had any idea of the precision found within the Prophecy, you would not make such a foolish statement. The dating is self evident.

You have a timeless God of an infinite universe and your trying to restricted him and his creation to a minuscule box of time a man can understand.... how does the infinite God explain to the finite mind of man...

Quite the opposite - I believe that timeless God and take him at his word. The purpose of the Bible is to do exactly that - explain him to a finite man. It is a simple thing.

The original sin came from "YHWH didn't REALLY say..." - It is those who say such a thing that do YHWH a disservice, not those who listen to him...

What he said from the beginning will come to pass. Bet on it.

Interesting question, but, no, there’s no UFOs in my imagination.

Just look at the chariot wheels in Ezekiel. Sometimes you just have to look at them.

They are not moving.

Why?

God’s chariot was omnipresent - to show Ezekiel that Yahweh is not restricted to the national boundaries of a particular ethnic group. - That He is not the God of only a small territory - that He is the Creator of the Universe.

So, if God’s chariot is omnipresent, why don’t the wheels move?

Because He was already there, He didn’t have to “move” anything to get where “He Is” already.

“15 Now as I looked at the living creatures, behold, a wheel was on the earth beside each living creature with its four faces. 16 The appearance of the wheels and their workings was like the color of beryl, and all four had the same likeness. The appearance of their workings was, as it were, a wheel in the middle of a wheel. 17 When they moved, they went toward any one of four directions; they did not turn aside when they went. “

My entire point is that it probably wasn’t even a chariot at all. It was described in terms that the person viewing at the time could understand. When ‘the world’ supposedly flooded people all the time probably thought that was true with their limited knowledge of what the world entailed.
