First week after moving to Polk County Grady Judd was on the TV announcing that the Polk County Sheriff's Dept. "Will not rest and we will find you!" in response to a double homicide at a convenience store.
Older couple watching TV in a tire store where I watched this said,"If them boys is smart they better turn themselves in right now. They done pissed of Grady Judd and that ain't gonna end out good for them."
About a month later a sheriff's Deputy and his K-9 companion were killed in a routine traffic stop. Killer was chased down into a swampy area where Grady Judd's deputies pumped about 100 rounds into him.
When questioned by news reporter why so many shots were fired into killer, Grady Judd said, "We ran out of bullets or there would have been more."
