Clyburn to GOP: ‘Be Very, Very Careful About How You Treat this President’
breitbart ^ | 5/26/15 | p key

Last week, Rep. Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) 6% sat down with Voice of America host Carol Castiel and network congressional correspondent Cindy Saine and offered a warning to President Barack Obama’s Republican opposition while discussing the nuclear deal the president is pushing for with Iran.

When asked about the Iran deal Clyburn said, “Well yes, I think so. It’s one thing to review it. It’s something else to veto. I don’t think that Congress ought to have any right to circumvent the president. And this foolishness that has been going on up here, it’s just foolishness. And we have to be very, very careful and for people to not see … Look, I am old enough to have seen and paid close attention to many presidents, all the way back to Truman. I first, got interested in politics when Truman ran against Dewey back in 1948. And I have following closely every president ever since. And so I will say to my friends, ‘Be very, very careful about how you treat this President, because turnabout is fair play. And I think that this president has not been treated with dignity and respect that he should be treated with. Especially when it comes to his dealing with foreign countries. And that, to me, is a big problem here. So I support this country speaking with one voice when we get beyond the water’s edge. That is not taking place now. So these shenanigans that took place here, the letter that they wrote, the invitation to Netanyahu to address them, to me went beyond the pale.”

It's just politics.

From Capitol Hill, House Democratic Whip James Clyburn of South Carolina said Democrats were intent on "ending the blank check for the president's war and setting a timeline for the phased redeployment of our U.S. military." The House will vote this week on legislation that would effectively require the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq by next year, while providing funding for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan for the year.

"By August 2008 at the latest, U.S. combat troops will be redeployed from Iraq," said Clyburn. USA Today 3/20/2007

Clyburn certainly wasn't on the same page as Bush or speaking with the same voice.

It all depends on who's in charge and whether you're on the same side.

I don’t think that Congress ought to have any right to circumvent the president.

Then rewrite the Constitution and see if it flies. Until it does, Congress does not only have a right to circumvent a President, it has a duty to do so.

It's long past time for veiled threats from racist thugs. Bring it.

Clyburn's just another Obama thug. Obama treats Americans like trash, then he expect the same kind of treatment.

If the O had been white, he would have never been elected to a second term and probably be in jail.

Actually, he's equally as Caucasian as he is pure black. And the pure black part depends on who his daddy really is and how pure HIS lineage.

(Why does 0 wear makeup to make him look blacker?)

This is what you get from affirmative action and guaranteed black congressional seats. The latter actually helps Republicans in the House.

One black idiot supporting another black idiot and making threats about this. I am not racist. I am stating facts that Clyburn behaves this way only because Obungle is black. And everybody knows this is true

Democrats weren’t so concerned about respect for the president when they spent 8 years trashing president George W. Bush.

I think calling anyone racist because they disagree on substantive matters is done. Be careful? This clown hasn’t been held to the same harsh scrutiny or verbiage all the rest of the presidents have.

Take your threats and your little insinuations, your fripping peeves and micro-slights and pound sand.

This South Carolinian woke up one morning to find that my house had been picked up & moved into Clyburn’s 6th district & I couldn’t vote for Joe Wilson as I had before.

My MIL lived in Orangeburg. Her house was in Clyburn territory, those across the street were not. If you’re white, forget about any help from his office.

Clyburn is a pompous arrogant jerk in addition to being an idiot. The “James E. Clyburn Pedestrian Overpass” lies athwart Hwy 277 leading into Columbia & is the purest example of misappropriated Congressional boondoggle.

Then there’s Flimsey Tinkerbelle Grahamnesty. Geez.....
