BALTIMORE —City police said of 27 people who were shot, at least eight of them were killed in a series of separate shooting in Baltimore since Friday afternoon.
In the most recent events, officers were called to the 1600 block of Hazel Street around 10:30 p.m. Sunday for a report of discharging of a firearm.
While investigating, police were notified of a walk-in shooting victim to an area hospital. The man at the hospital sustained a gunshot wound to his buttocks. The victim told police he was shot by two masked men.
No further details are available. Detectives are investigating and ask that anyone with information to call 410-396-2499.
Officers were called to the 500 block of East 21st Street at 12:13 a.m. Monday where they found a man with a gunshot wound to the back of his head. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment and is listed in critical condition.
Eastern District detectives are investigating and ask that anyone with information to call 410-396-2433.
Around 12:30 a.m. Monday, officers were called to the 800 block of West Fayette Street for a report of a shooting where they found a man inside of a car with gunshot wounds. Officers then found a second victim, a woman, who was shot in the back, laying on the street.
Both victims were taken to an area hospital for treatment. Despite all medical lifesaving efforts, the man died because of his injuries at 2:38 a.m. He has not yet been identified.
The woman is listed in critical but stable condition.

Officers were called to the 5300 block of Saint Georges Avenue at 1:43 a.m. Monday for a report of a shooting.
Officers found a man with gunshot wounds to his chest and leg. He was immediately taken to an area hospital for treatment, but despite all medical lifesaving efforts he died because of his injuries, police said.
While investigating this incident, police said a 17-year-old boy walked into an area hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to his arm, and a second man walked into an area hospital for treatment for a gunshot/graze wound to his head.
Detectives determined that all of those injuries are the result of the same incident and are asking anyone with information to call 410-396-2100.
Officers were called to an area hospital around 4 a.m. Monday for a report of walk-in shooting victim.
Arriving officers found a man with a gunshot wound to his leg. Police said the shooting happened in the 5200 block of Midwood Avenue.
Northern District detectives are investigating and ask that anyone with information to call 410-396-2455.
In another shooting, a man was fatally shot Sunday afternoon in the 900 block of Ducatel Street, city police said.
Six people were injured in separate shootings in Baltimore late Saturday into Sunday evening.
Also, five people were killed and as many as six others were injured during shootings Friday night and Saturday in Baltimore, police said.

So we are clear, these people were not tied up, laid face-down on the pavement, and shot in plain sight of a kids birthday party by white cops because they thought they had all robbed a bank, raped 100 white females, and failed to use proper signalling when they did a left turn on a bike as they were on their way to their volunteer SAT tutoring job?

Its blacks killing blacks, its like a badge of honor..therefore not newsworthy..now if the shooter had been a cop well then the media would have 24/7 coverage..I say if they want to kill each other let them, its sad to say that but #blacklivesmatter is total BS and they only “Care” when they can score political points out of it, or to riot

Cleveland came to its senses, knowing there could be trouble after the verdict. The mayor and police had worked with neighborhoods, making it very clear that violence was not the way, would not be tolerated, and they were not Cleveland or Ferguson.
Result....some arrests Saturday when protestors got in the faces of law abiding citizens, those arrested were kept in jail for a few days. The police (including state troopers) were ready for potential flare up points and didn't let anyone get out of hand. Nothing got burned down or looted.
One black life was reported lost. A 14 year old girl was out after midnight Sunday AM, killed in a hit and run. It's criminal that the life of this girl didn't matter enough to keep her inside at that hour, in what's a tough neighborhood.
Ohhh....and the media almost lost their sanity wanting extreme behavior to stoke.

I trust that the police are staying in station houses and parking their patrol cars in safe areas and waiting for calls which will be responded to in due course and never alone.
