A pressure cooker in a parked car on the National Mall aroused the suspicions of Capitol Police in Washington on Sunday, and they called out a bomb squad to do away with it.
Officers spotted the car on routine patrol and found it suspicious. Inside were the pressure cooker and what appeared to be a propane tank. Officers smelled gasoline, U.S. Capitol Police said in a statement.

The search and investigation turned up nothing harmful, USPC said. The driver was arrested and charged with driving with a revoked license.

And what was the name of the driver who was arrested??? Mohamed Abdul al-something???? Or was it Ed Haskel??? Why won’t they tell us the name of the culprit?
And why was he arrested only for an expired license? There are no other charges for having a dangerous explosive device in a public place??? What the heck??

the driver’s name was mentioned in another article. It didn’t seem to be a Muslim name. I guess we’ll have to wait for more details

Maybe it was really a rice cooker and what "appeared to be a propane tank" wasn't. Then they arrested the driver to make it look good after the bomb squad destroyed his car.
I guess they got the Obama administration's memo about Israel. (Meanwhile, there are countless Crown Victoria taxicabs being driven around Washington by guys wearing head scarves.)
The owner of the vehicle was located and identified as Israel Shimeles of Alexandria, Virginia. Shimeles was arrested and charged with Operating After Revocation,
Israel. Obvious mideastern ties.
Perhaps it was Martha Stewart or Paula Dean...
Well, that should be no surprise. Don't most people keep a propane tank handy while using a pressure cooker?
The car looks to be an old Volvo station wagon -- so everything would have been in plain sight in the wayback. The pressure cooker and propane tank were supposed to be for a food truck. (Based on the available information, I'd suspect that Israel Shimeles might own a food truck and that DC suspended his driver's license because of unpaid parking tickets. But that's just my wild guess.)

One hopes this “Israel” declares legal war on the Armed & Rangerous, and any and all involved in this “incident”.
Everything from suppression of his Constitution protected religious activities(assuming his being Orthodox), property damages, ad nauseam.

Driver is lucky the story isn’t about how many shots it took to kill him. That seems to be SOP these days.
