John Edwards’ eyes were flashing some kind of morse code throughout the 2004 VP debate.

Rape, human trafficking, drug running, gun running, aid and comfort to international terrorists, falsified identities... sound like crimes to me.

Right you are! They shouldn't go after any criminals until they get that rampant crime problem sorted out.

We are told the coy-o-tes are helping dreamers reach the American dream. They are undocumented until they receive their forged documents. The rape culture is just diversity on display, don’t judge other cultures.

So many excuses in the name of cheap labor and Democrat votes.

"Like any criminal organization, it's about money, it's about control, it's about a lifestyle,” said former North Texas FBI agent Gil Torrez.

One could think he's talking about our favorite trailer trash political family from Arkansas...........

>>Start a “juicy” bit of scuttlebutt at morning mess and see how ‘accurate’ it was when it came around later.

Submariners are very precise people, so the scuttlebutt comes back relatively unchanged at the end of the day. Usually, if there are changes, it is because people did some fact-checking and added facts to it, so it actually comes back more accurate than it was in the morning.

>>Start a line at any secured hatch (under a ladder way was good) and let it be known that a gedunk for Cokes, beer, snickers, etc. was going in say 20 minutes and slip away once the line was well-formed.

I’ve heard of this happening, but it has nothing to do with the difference between a rumor and an unnamed source. Do you disagree that an “unnamed source” is usually motivated more by advancing an agenda than by disseminating facts?

When we get to the point that those who believe themselves to be “in authority” have that opinion then we have a duty to disabuse them of their erroneous perceptions. All I want is to get a grip on just where we are now. The longer they take to quit acting guilty as hell and own up to what is fairly obvious the more it appears their attitude is what you suggested, somewhat tongue in cheek. Every day this drags out what tattered remnants of their integrity blow away just a little more. One end to the other what is happening in our country more and more reeks to high heaven. Some FReepers suggest the absence of perceived morals on the part of the wounded and dead indicates they deserved this and “had it coming”. If we are to the point of shooting people for the lack of morals a whole lot of folks come to mind that deserve it a good deal more,IMHO. If that is the point we are at, then let’s have at it. For one, I am sick of the hypocrisy, fraud, and corruption we have tolerated for far too long. I got no problem with starting with one percenters. Hell, they have been begging for it for decades. Kind of “canary in a coal mine” so to speak. The rest of us know what time it is when the “authorities” start dropping them like rabid dogs. No problem as long as we don’t stop there once having begun to clean house. Like I said, without trying I can come up with quite a list that need killing every bit as much as one percenters and if we can just get started I would thank them for their valuable service.

“On a boat full of Navy only, the rumor mill always had a kernel of fact at the core.”

That must be why the Saudi Government gave each of us 10,000 dollars ,,, Aussie supermodels grabbed me as I stepped off the gangplank wanting me to screw them for two days, happy not to know my name,,, and why we went helocasting from a C-130 ramp at 80 knots and 30 feet.

Scuttlebutt had some truly fantastic stories, not always based on a kernel of truth.

“When are the coy-o-tes who smuggle millions of men, women, and children into the country going to be dealt with? Rape, human trafficking, drug running, gun running, aid and comfort to international terrorists, falsified identities... sound like crimes to me.”

Three guesses who they count on to manage the distribution pipelines north of the border. Banditos are up to their eyeballs with the cartels. That’s why “turf” is such a big deal to them. Its a criminal franchise zone.

Geez. Your examples are obviously tall tales, although the Aussie one is based in fact from WW2 when the US submarine crews were based in Freemantle and Perth and all the Aussie men were gone.

I’m talking about rumors that make sense, such as “I don’t think that we are getting our port call in Perth” coming from a QM who was just told to not bother marking up the charts for the boat’s transit of Perth harbor.

Kernel of truth. Not confirmed by the command. Technically a rumor, but just wait a few days for the announcement.

Yes, tall tales. Like peaceful banditos being nothing more than normal bikers. They were only meeting to discuss peace with the Cossacks. They did nothing wrong and maybe had a minor disagreement and shoved each other harmlessly. In fact, the non-fight that barely happened was provoked by undercover cops acting as agents provocateurs.

..... and “les innocents” walked into a police ambush. A set up like St Valentines day massacre. As many as 22 cops fire thousands of rounds on full auto.

Yes, I understand tall tales. I have been reading some tall tales all week.

But since your favorite criminal gangs work for the mexicans, why is that a bad thing? Bosses and employees can work better together if they are on the same side of the border, no?

these days, most “news” is tall tales. The Progs know that half of the population will believe it and the other half won’t do anything about it.

“”We don’t allow any of the colors, the back patches, the knifes [sic], the chains — anything like that,” said Brandon Murdoch, with Chill Sports Bar & Grill in Grapevine. “We have plenty of people that ride motorcycles that come in here, we even have a designated motorcycle parking, but none of the ‘1 per-centers’ as they like to call themselves.” “If you bend for one or two, then five or six are going to show up, and it can be pretty intimidating for a bar owner,” added Murdoch.”

But Twin Peaks invited HUNDREDS ... and we see what that got them.

What’s the difference between an ‘unnamed source’ and a rumor?

Unnamed sources have an agenda.

“Unnamed sources have an agenda. “

What is the agenda of the unnamed waitress that cloaked her identity on camera because she expected to be called as a witness and was afraid for herself and her family?
