The Year That Changed Jeb Bush Forever (He Went Native)
Politico ^ | May 21, 2015 | Michael Krause

Posted on 05/22/2015 6:13:14 AM PDT by C19fan

He was born in Midland, Texas, and he spent a good bit of his boyhood in Houston, and he went to high school in Andover, Massachusetts, and to college in Austin, Texas, and he has lived for the last three and a half decades in Miami. But at the top of the list of the most important places in the world in the life of Jeb Bush is the central Mexican state of Guanajuato, and its conservative, old-world Catholic capital of León. León is why he proposed marriage in Spanish, why his three children are Mexican-American, why his favorite foods are enchiladas and chilaquiles — why he is not a Protestant like the rest of his pedigreed New England family.

All this tell me is that he is probably pro reconquest and
will hold the wants and needs of mexico over the rights of
the American people. He’s like the Obama, just another
foreigner running for president with his best interests in
everyone but America. Just another Bush.

“For almost two decades we’ve heard Jeb was the smart one.”

Not getting an “Ivy League” education may be why. Besides
education isn’t what makes people smart just better informed,
supposedly.

Concur. What is wrong with marrying a woman you love and converting to her church to do it?

I don't really know how he was as a governor other than seeing him make impassioned pleas for the citizens to evacuate during hurricanes.

What I can't tolerate any more is people that are soft on illegal immigration. It isn't just about jobs, or fairness to legal immigrants. It is about stopping a system that uses illegals without consideration of their safety, rights or future. By fostering a demand for illegal labor through weak enforcement of labor laws, this country is creating a system where people are exploited, hurt, and killed. That isn't right, and 100,000 more Border Patrol won't fix that. Enforcing labor laws will. If there aren't jobs or benefits for illegals, they will stop coming.

“But sometimes the answer is that Authority is right.”

True, but rarely. Authority has been politicized along with
education. You really can’t trust either nowadays.
It’s the age of “Authority” being deemed right rather than
actually proven right. Same for education.

Illegal immigration is just the symptom and will go away
once you get rid of the real problem. The real problem is
the criminal employers. They should be prosecuted to the
fullest extent. Anyone who hires a wetback is an even bigger
criminal and should have all of their property confiscated as
ill gotten gains. It should be considered no different than
selling drugs or treason, if anything worse.

Here’s what I don’t get about Jeb. All this happened long before he was governor, and he made good sense as governor. Now, his brain is literally spewing gobbledygook. This isn’t the same person who was a down to earth plan spoken governor. He has been completely isolated from real-world people for going on a decade and is regurgitating elitist views and bad consultant advice.

Surely one of these other far superior candidates can beat this guy.

Exactly what I am trying to say. Illegal immigration happens because of demand for cheap labor, just as drugs come into this country due to demand.

Both are smuggling. All smuggling requires is a commodity in demand, a geopolitical boundary, and a price point difference. It can be illegal drugs, illegal labor...........or low tax Carolina cigarettes going NYC.

it doesn't take finding dead bodies in the desert to know illegal labor is evil, but those bodies are the kind of thing you never forget.

WRONG.

This is Ahab’s excuse for hooking up with Jezebel.

One Christian Church to another? If Martin Luther thought that way this would not be an issue.
