Update: D.C. police have confirmed that suspect Daron Dylon Wint has been captured in Northeast Washington.
The suspect in the gruesome killings of three members of a Northwest Washington family and its housekeeper is a former employee of an iron supply company headed by one of the victims and has a long history of alleged assaults and threatening behavior, including against his own family, according to law enforcement officials and court records.
Police on Thursday were still searching for 34-year-old Daron Dylon Wint, a manhunt that extended north into New York City, where authorities said he has acquaintances and relatives in Brooklyn. Wint is charged in a warrant with first-degree murder while armed in the deaths of Savvas Savopoulos, 46; his wife, Amy, 47; their 10-year-old son, Philip; and housekeeper Veralicia Figueroa, 57.
Police said they believe that the victims were held captive overnight and had been bound. D.C. Mayor Muriel E. Bowser (D) described the slayings at a Thursday afternoon news conference as “an act of evil.”
Hours later, Wint’s father, Dennis, reached by phone, declined to comment. “I really am not in the mood to talk to any reporters,” he said before hanging up.

This suspect’s DNA was matched, but not sure of the reason for the investigators’ speculation that there were multiple invaders in the home.

I think the speculation comes from the idea that it would be hard for one person to control 4 people. Also, 2 pizzas were ordered.
Not familiar with this case but it seems this would not usually be the type of crime one commits while alone. This guy was no criminal mastermind by any description, so they’ll find out if the others arrested were involved in the murders.

Did you see Megyn’s interview of a lawyer who had represented Wint before .. long criminal history.
The guy kept saying Wint was a very nice kid. I was listening more than I was watching, but I think Megyn told him to stop embarrassing himself (by saying Wint was such a nice kid - because Megyn was reading Wint’s rap sheet). And, yes, the lawyer was also black.

Heard this psycho’s brother was arrested with him, along with two females, and they found a large sum of money in his possession(Probably the 40 grand he told the assistant to bring over) wouldn’t be surprised if the brother is the accomplice because I dont believe for one second this guy tied up four people all by himself, not possible, he had help
That lawyer on Megyn’s show literally gave me the creeps..I wouldnt have been surprised if he was hiding him in his house..kept on calling him a patriot and a good guy..Ok if he’s such a good guy maybe he can take care of his kids see what happens..that lawyer is the definition of liberalism, saying this perp is a victim of injustice..so what is he saying, that every black person is entitled to kill four people to make up for slavery

Megyn was really funny though .. her facial expressions gave away her exasperation at what the lawyer was saying - when comparing it to the rap sheet.
The guy was a NUT and he’s a lawyer..not sure what’s more scary
