Disgraced NBC news anchor Brian Williams, who was brought down when it was revealed he lied about his experience in a war zone, has pulled out of hosting an awards show for military veterans and families.
Williams, who has been suspended from the network since February, said he didn't want to be a 'distraction' from the inaugural Lincoln Awards, which will air Friday on PBS.
Instead, First Lady Michelle Obama has stepped in and agreed to film an introduction for the show, which will honor people and groups that help veteran and military families.

I will accept this change, on one condition:
If a single veteran being addressed acknowledges that he is being disparaged, he is allowed to go Wookie-hunting.
Well, the title seems to be wrong since the text indicates the awards are for people who help vets, not for the vets themselves.
