Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) doesn't agree with critics of the National Security Agency's surveillance programs.
"There's not a shred of evidence that anybody's civil liberties have been violated by it. Not a shred," Bush said Thursday in New Hampshire, in comments after a breakfast organized by the Concord Chamber of Commerce, according to the Huffington Post.
The comment puts Bush, who is considering a presidential bid, on the opposite side of one his likely rivals, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Kentucky).
Bush vocalized his support for NSA surveillance just hours after Paul, who is running for the Republican presidential nomination, ended a 10 hour Senate filibuster in protest of the government surveillance. Paul was speaking out againt the renewal of portions of the Patriot Act, anti-terrorism legislating signed into law in 2001 by Bush's older brother, former President George W. Bush. NSA surveillance is authorized through the Patriot Act.

He’s dumb and blind...
Jeb was supposed to be the smart one, so far not a shred of evidence for that.
Jeb Bush says there’s ‘not a shred of evidence’ NSA surveillance violated civil liberties .... because it’s been cleaned and whistleblowers have been silenced.
He apparently agrees with Scott Walker that it is OK to acquire the email conversations of Americans without a proper search warrant.
The Republican establishment was desperate to come up with a candidate worse than Hillary Clinton. So they tapped Jeb Bush.
It also places him opposite common sense, decency, the 4th Amendment, and government's abysmal track record.

Another freeper on another thread about Hillary made an interesting observation: ‘evidence’ is a legal term, and without an investigation there is no ‘evidence’, so technically he’s right, but he’s also a word parsing lying sack like thunderthighs.
And of course, such government power will NEVER be abused ever ever forever never ever.
I guess Jeb was cheering when Obama told us to reject those voices who warn us about government tyranny.
And he hasen't read the Constitution and Bill of Rights
unless it has pictures , and he can stay between the lines when he colors.
What a "DOOFUS" !!
“Not even a smidgen of corruption”
“There’s not a shred of evidence........ Not a shred,”
Good job, Jeb. Now say it again using H. Clintons voice. I probably wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.
Wow. With Republicans like this, who needs Democrats?
Probably TRUE.... all evidence has been scrubbed redacted or ugh!.. LOST..
Big spending? Check.
Open borders? Check.
Pro-Police State? Check.
Any doubt that Jeb would be King Bush III?
As the intelligence community says, “Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence”.
