Thank you. Been youtubing force-feeding with syringe. Tried a variation of the same, but it is too stressful for us both to get her to open up her mouth.
Going to have vet feed her and give subcutaneous fluids -— and decide after that. Small Himalayan -— the Mary Lou Retton of Himalayans.
Funny thing is she caught a little mouse two nights ago. We live across the street from a farm. Carried it to a guest bathroom where she has been hanging out because I recently bought plushy rugs for it. DH discovered it, congratulated her, and tossed it away.
We bought Jasmine and a male Siamese as babies within weeks of one another. Yoda (all ears) aka Yoda boy aka Chuck succumbed to diabetes about 4 years ago. They were inseparable.
Tell the vet about the mouse she caught. Certain pest poisons transfer to cats.
I tried the same thing with my Brandy. I fed her with a syringe for a day or so and then she wouldn’t take it anymore. Then water with a syringe and she stopped that a few days later. She was in so much pain I had to take her to be put down. I tried the same thing with her mother Reagan and I let her expire at home. It was too hard to watch her be in so much pain I couldn’t do it again with Brandy. We mark our lives by how many pets we survive. I hope I have many more.
Tell the vet about the mouse. Up here some people use that decon to kill them then sometimes a dog will eat it. Prayers
