Good morning n’@ everyone!

I’ve been listening the last around my work schedule, but can’t listen at work, so I miss a lot :( I start at 9 so I can only listen to Rose on my days off :(

Today is LAST day of HS for my youngest son...last one is OUT of public school system!!!! Happy dance!!!! it couldn’t have come faster...our district back in the news (so many times they have random stock footage of our HS). This time it’s for a teacher “inappropriately” texting a student.

I really just have to wonder what the heck is wrong with teachers!

If I were a parent, I’d be checking my kid’s bill for numbers and wanting to know who is behind each number.

Congrats PAMom to your son on his completion of HS :)

I’m happy for you PaMom! I remember when son graduated. We were very involved band parents. Worked at the concession stand, went to all the games and parades, chaperoned on long band trips, not to mention fund-raisers galore! I was so happy to leave all that behind!

Congrats to your son as he graduates and goes on to new things!

Good morning!

Can’t listen today, I have to go dahntahn early for a PA Career Link meeting for unemployment. Yuck!

They ask about what you did, what you want to do. Best part is it’s in a building I helped restore. I made a lot of custom lighting and architectural features for it.

Has Jim played the Fiorina clip? It’s priceless! I’m not her fan but asked if a woman’s hormones interfered with her decision making she asked all ladies if they could think of a time when a man’s hormones interfered in descion making...EVEN IN THE OVAL OFFICE!

LOVE THE SLAP AT THE CLINTONS!

We did that too and I was glad when it was done.

Mrs p6 OTOH stayed on as a volunteer basnd parent. Later she formed the alumni band so she could sort of continue.

She would stay in HS forever, she is like Peter Pan and never wants to grow up.

THAT is what is wrong with a lot of our country. No adults!

Have to run.

Didn’t hear the clip from Carly Fiorina, but that is hilarious! LOL! She’s sharp, that one? They would NEVER ask Hitlary that question!! Bill had a hard time controlling his hormones!

Good luck at Pa Career Link. How did you get to help restore a building? Sounds interesting!

I'm with you there. It's great to have a candidate that has no problems giving snappy answers to the stupid questions the media throw at her, and then watch their reaction to being b-slapped. Remember that this ain't Carly's first rodeo. Anyone who can deal with boardroom scumbags can certainly dish it out to the media scumbags.

Thank you!

I was at work last night and I saw the “news” about our district on WTAE website (we had wicked storms going thru at the time). So I texted my so son and asked if he “knew” any details. He said “I don’t care anymore...I’m done tomorrow.”

It’s been a long haul. He’s the youngest of five. And sneaks, I too have been a chaperone, home room mom, library aid, Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader...which is why I’m stuck in retail. Instead of going back to school all those years ago, I went to THEIR schools w/snacks and crafts, and I would t trade it, but I have taken a good look at my future:-/

I’m just overthinking things—as we only have one left at home (he’s commuting to a PSU branch campus the next two years) DH is starting his drumbeat that we NEED to get rid of our house. And repairs needs made that I’ll never get to enjoy. Like our AC is broken (and the extra heat is making our refrigerator work harder so it’s icing over so it’s not long for replacement either) and I’ll work. This year to pay for repairs. Yea me!

Rant off...

I did that CareerLink meeting (our at our CC). There ARE a lot of resources available (I was considered “displaced.”). Since all my experience is retail/inventory/mid management, I was channeled toward US Postal service jobs. The testing (and suggested prep work thru PaCareerLink was daunting)...so I was so relieved when I was offered job I have now. Best of luck!

I am #3 of 6 - So bless all of you Mom’s & Dad’s who worked so hard for their kids. I have fond memories of cookies and costumes and all that good stuff Mom did.
My Mom took over my dad’s business when he died (he was only 54) and I really wish he had spent more time educating her about the business - she’s so smart and did a fine job, but I wish he would have just given her more ammunition in her business “gun”.
