Funny you should ask that. Hubby just told me it involved one of the gangs adding a “Texas” patch to their “colors” and the Banditos took severe exception to that. Plus I assume alcohol played a part.

I have friend who is a 60ish business man who belongs to a group of fellow professionals who all ride bikes. They wanted to form a club, but were warned by a local (south Texas) peace officer to do nothing without clearing it with the Bandidos. The Bandidos verified that the proposed colors were neither theirs, nor those of a rival, and that the the geographic location on the patch was not already claimed by the Bandidos, and gave their blessing.

Sad to have to do so, but when their are people willing to kill you because (for example) you put on a jacket that says "Austin" and not "Travis County", discretion may be the best part of valor.
