The American Conservative Union (ACU) FINALLY published its ratings for last year, so I have been able update my averages.
The ACU is the Establishment's favorite rating agency, because it lets congressmen and senators hide behind "lifetime ratings" where they can use their votes from twenty years ago give them cover for last year. And it seems they carefully rate things to protect RINO's. John McCain has a rating of 91%, which is a joke(and those like McCain are careful to vote well on issues the ACU scores, like taxes, to keep their ratings artificially high.)
But when you average out all the ratings agencies, a far different picture appears.
Those up for reelection in 2016 are on top. The full list follows.

I’ve paid no attention to ACU once I found out about Grover Norquisling.
Heritage and Freedom Works are fairly good references.

Yes they do, but I’m not aware of a case where the best democrat is better than the worst republican. There might be one or two in the House, but not in the Senate, where I focus. There are no liberal republicans anymore, that would be more liberal than any democrat. Specter was the last. When push comes to shove, the democrats in the senate toe the liberal line.

You are correct, but the point of my average is to take all that into account, so that absolutely everything is covered over all the rating agencies, so we can reasonably compare one senator with another, comparing apples to apples.
And it helps to clearly see who should be removed when primary and election time rolls around.

Apparently Guinta misrepresented where he got substantial campaign contributions from. He said it was his money when it turned out to come from his parents. He should’ve been honest and upfront about it from the get-go. It will probably be enough to sink his reelection efforts (either in the primary or general).
The money came from a bank account in his parents’ name, but Guinta claims that it was his money and that he had deposited it in his parents’ account temporarily. If what he’s saying is true (and I have no idea whether it is), then the charge may not have very long legs.
Ayotte just called for him to RESIGN. Christ, that’s bonkers.
Too extreme a request. He got the money from his folks, not the Chinese Communist military (like certain other people we know).
Well, having Senator Ayotte calling for Guinta’s resignation (which, it goes without saying, I agree is absurd) tells us one thing: He would not have survived the GOP primary next year. And it’s certainly the case that the GOP has a better chance of holding the seat in a special election later this year than in November 2016.
If there’s a special election, I hope that Ovide Lamontagne runs. And I really, really hope that Scott Brown doesn’t think that this is his ticket to elected office in NH in preparation for another statewide run.

I think that Guinta reported the money as having been donated by himself to his campaign, and the finding is that, because it came from his parents’ bank account, he should have reported it as a donation from his parents (which would have exceeded the limits per contributor). It may be that uncollateralized loans to campaigns are treated the same as donations.
I hate the goo-goos. Calling for a resignation over a violation of an unconstitutional campaign-finance law? Give me a break!
Lamontagne is a resident of Manchester, so he does live in the 1st. His name is mentioned as a possible Senate primary challenger to Ayotte next year.
Ovide Lamontagne has been losing statewide races (either in the primary or the general) for years, so, if Gunita ends up resigning (which he has vowed not to do, but one never knows what tomorrow might bring), it would be wise for Lamontagne to run in the NH-01, which is a few points more Republican than the state as a whole and where he wouldn’t be facing an incumbent that already beat him in a GOP Senate primary. Yes, Lamontagne is quite a bit more conservative than the average NH Republican, but he can win a special election in the NH-01 and then use incumbency (and, hopefully, some coattails from the GOP presidential candidate) to win reelection in 2016.
