Oh, it’s not just “apparent”...
Based on the comments I’ve seen so far, it appears not many who are commenting on this post, actually followed the link and watched the entire press conference video.
If they had, they would have seen an excellent example of how a police use of force press conference should be handled. They would have also seen the Sheriff explain in detail why it was a relief that the suspect is white because of the press’ tendencies to exploit incidents involving police shootings for ratings and personal agendas.
They would also know that while the suspect’s friends and family might be heartbroken over this occurrence, none of them will be surprised since the police made it apparent that the guy is well known for being a drug abuser and bat shit crazy.
In fact, the police didn’t even know that the truck he was driving, and used to ram 3 different police cars had been stolen earlier in the day. It was his reckless driving in front of and shouting at the first police officer he tried to run over that started the entire incident.
Anyway, thanks for the link to this story. It was informative and the website itself is interesting enough that I will be visiting it again.
