John Bolton, the former U.S. ambassador to the U.N. and one of the Republican Partys most prominent national security hawks, has confirmed that he will not run for president.
In a media conference call and separate video to supporters, Bolton said he would work through his political action committees and PACs to influence the 2016 elections by pushing candidates to promote aggressive foreign and military policies...

A smart president will find a job for Mr. Bolton. Perhaps Secretary of State?

He’s advising Ted Cruz right now.
Perhaps Secretary of State?
Why? He did NOTHING as UN Ambassador. He did not even cut a thing. He was chosen as small government and made the UN even bigger. The first thing he should have done is cut our portion of UN dues to 1/2 of what we pay the first 4 years and after that cut it to 75 percent and on until we only pay 10 percent at most to that fraud of an organization. Certainly kick them out of NYC. But he did nothing.
Too bad. Bolton would be a lot more fun to have in the race than many of the others.
I’m not likely to vote for any politician who had anything to do with the UN.
Thank. I won’t either. Supporting such a terrorist organization should make all Republicans shutter. But yet they are ready to give him the keys to the White House? Hard to believe.
So finally somebody not running.
Norquist and now Bolton.
If only he could get Ralph Reed and Tom DeLay on his team then all of the know-nothing conservatives will fall in right behind him.
Norquist?! What are you smoking?
The neocon warmongers are lining up for Rubio. He’s their puppet.
Hopefully, their day is done. But, they still control the think tanks and FNC. And (especially!) the Washington Post.
Well, at least you’re consistently wrong.
Who asked him to? That old dude had 0% chance.
Oh God. Is there anyone you don’t put on a pedestal no matter how horrible they do their job. It is true we are opposite on many things. The one thing that is clear is that I am more likely to want small government but you do too but near as close to me. You also are a supporter of the UN which I am not. I perfer that the UN not be in the US and that we leave it completely. You seem to love the UN and would like to increase it like we did during Bolton time. I think your a great person but your politics are a bit different than mine. You are impressed with people who talk a good game but don’t actually have any results. I guess that is ok but I am just surprised coming from you.
I support the United Nations? I’ve been here going on 10 years and I’ve never said that. We belong to the U.N., therefore we need an ambassador to that organization. Would you rather have a John Bolton, Jean Kirkpatrick or some lefty loon like we have now?
He’s too old, no one knows him and he wears a bow tie at times.
Brilliant, but so are others.
Good. He supports "gay marriage."
So does Carly Fiorina and Dick Cheney, IIRC.
Rick Snyder sn’t running either.
