Billionaire investor Stan Druckenmiller said an aging population will present a “massive, massive problem” in 15 years.
“The young people are not going to be talking about cutting back,” Druckenmiller said at a New York event hosted by Addepar, a technology company that provides software to financial advisers, fund managers and family offices. “There will be nothing to cut back.”
Druckenmiller, 61, has argued for several years that the mushrooming costs of Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid will bankrupt the nation’s youth and eventually result in a crisis worse than the financial meltdown of 2008. The government will have to reduce payments to the elderly, he said at the event.

That’s not a bad deal if it was run that way unfortunately it’s the government in control of it so they hand it out to anyone for votes and steal from it.. typical government.

In a better country or America of the past a bunch of older white people could mean a lot of very nice things for society, grandparents, and families, mentors, and consultants, and grandmothers, and nice people moving around in society.

Does anyone thing these Third World immigrants we are “welcoming” in by the millions will help one whit with this problem? Of course not. They are a net drain on Government resources. They are here to counterbalance the votes of all the pi$$ed off, old White people. Most angry will be the White liberals who will finally realize in the dottage how they’ve been duped. Of course, I doubt most of them will admit they were wrong—they’ll just be bitter.
Medicaid doesn’t belong in the same basket as social insecurity and mediscare-it is primarily used by those who claim to be indigent, are on welfare, illegals, etc-there are no payroll deductions from working individuals for Medicaid-it is strictly taxpayer funded by everyone who pays taxes-and used by those who do not...
it was never supposed to be a pension fund. The beneficiaries were supposed to be people in actual need. But then came withholding, and Uncle was able to grab earned income tax directly from the regular paycheck, and from almost everyone. SS then became a kind of income tax itself. SS became a kind of savings plan for everyone.

White liberals go along with unlimited immigration because it makes them feel good about themselves. Since few enough of them have children, they don’t worry about the competition for jobs that come as immigrants flood in.
I believe it was sold to the public as a government run retirement account. That was when the average life expectancy was less than 65 years old.
It isn’t just aging whites, but aging people in general; basically, anyone eating up governemnt funds is viewed as an enemy by those that wish to use the same funds to buy votes with freebies.
The underground economy flourishes wherever the illegals take root; they have no intention of funding the retirements of aging Americans (or contributing anything to the till), and are draining resources from taxpayers that contributed for decades.
ObamaCare demonstrated a scary phenomenon that was largely unreported: Illegals were going to be covered, and Medicare funding was used to fund ObamaCare. The trade-off was done in plain sight, yet few commented on it; American retirees were being thrown under the bus for young illegals.
For widows, orphans, and the worn-out elderly. And as you say, most people did not live decades beyond 65. I was just looking a picture of My wife’s grandfather. He was under 60 but looked closer to seventy-five.
