I am sure that you remember the TX man who was no billed after killing a cop. A year or two ago, maybe.
It was considered justified.
That one would not count as a “murder” in the total number.
Again, I can’t disagree with much. I have the same outlook, and I stopped watching television completely back around 1996 or thereabouts. Sure, I watch movies (not broadcast) and some sports, but we have never had cable, ever.
If I go into a restaurant, my one request is not to be near any television. I think it is a cancer...I agree with you completely on that, I think the way people have it on all the time is unhealthy in the extreme.
I was reading your three posts, and they all make a lot of sense...I agree with nearly everything you said, especially on the concepts of asset seizure and SWAT teams. I don’t have a problem with large cities having a SWAT team with automatic weapons...it is the proliferation of that to smaller and smaller localities that disturbs me.
What is that old saying about a bayonet...the only thing you cannot do with it is sit on it.
I’d like to see a similar graphic on cops killed by dogs vs. dogs killed by cops.
“Id like to see a similar graphic on cops killed by dogs vs. dogs killed by cops.”
I would guess that in a given decade ZERO cops have been killed by dogs. We have a pretty good idea what the numbers are on the other side...
I would bet that very few cops have even been bitten by dogs...
Thanks for your note of agreement.
I appreciate it.
As they say, “Well said is well done!”
