IF: the goal is to stop ILLEGAL possession of firearms then the State must first prosecute the ass-clown for the illegal possession of a firearm.

He is convicted drug violations which should disbar his ownership of a firearm in the first place, then George can prosecute for aggravated assault and attempted murder.
