George Zimmerman was involved in a shooting incident in Lake Mary on Monday afternoon, according to Lake Mary Police Chief Steve Bracknell.
The shooting involved two men and happened on Lake Mary Boulevard, police said.
Officers at the scene said it appeared Zimmerman suffered a minor gunshot wound, Bracknell said.
In January, Zimmerman was accused of assault by his girlfriend, but no charges were filed after she recanted her allegation.
He was also arrested in November 2013 on domestic violence allegations after his girlfriend called police. His girlfriend later recanted her story and charges were never filed.
Zimmerman was acquitted in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin in 2013.

A prior poster made a good point, George Zimmerman should move to another country and change his name. I know I’m in the minority here on this, but I never regarded Zimmerman as a purely innocent victim, though Trayvon Martin was not one either.

GZ lived a complete life of respect. How you say otherwise is completely disingenuous. GZ was a mild mannered, law abiding citizen attacked by a loser thug and seriously injured. But for GZ’s gun, there’s no telling what could have happened.

The answer is yes. The media is following Zimmerman around just like the govt elites with their immunity and untraceable license plates want to follow average American subjects around via video, speed cameras and red light cameras. If you follow and record someone 24/7/365 you will inevitably find some evidence of bad behavior.
Instead of political elites and press following us around, we should be following them around with body cameras for our own protection, not theirs.
What is clear is that he beats his girlfriend. I remember visiting my daughter in Buffalo, back in ‘10. She was heavily pregnant, and had a big black eye. She explained that she hit it against the table in the kitchen. That was a battered woman lie, as I later confirmed. Her then-boyfriend had punched her. He’s now doing 30 in Georgia for smashing my granddaughter’s leg. “Recanted” is about the same as “I hit my head against the table”. Only child abusers and molesters are lower than woman beaters in my book.
I was thinking the same thing. He needs to get out of Florida, etc., and move way out into the Alaskan bush or something, where there are lot fewer sons of Hussein lurking around.
It is not at all clear. Your accusation is hollow. The women know they have a handle on George, all they have to do is make an accusation, and his life is put at risk.
Then all of them recant because there is nothing there.

With the evidence they had, they couldn’t have convicted Zimmerman of bleeding on the sidewalk.
