FBI sent out bulletin about gunman before Texas attack
AP via Texas Star Telegram ^ | 05/08/2015 | ERIC TUCKER

The FBI had been monitoring the event, even establishing a command post at its Dallas field office, based on concerns about the potential for violence. Drawings such as the ones featured at the event are deemed insulting to many followers of Islam and have sparked violence around the world. Mainstream Islamic tradition holds that any physical depiction of the Prophet Muhammad, even a respectful one, is blasphemous.

Comey, making his first public comments on the Sunday shooting, did not disclose steps he said the FBI could have taken to prevent the attack and said those questions were still being evaluated.

But, "what I've seen so far looks like we did it the way we were supposed to do it," Comey said.

Garland police department spokesman Joe Harn would not confirm that the department received an intelligence bulletin about Simpson. Messages left with the Texas Department of Public Safety were not immediately returned.

Bottom line, since they 'did it the way they were supposed to', the Feds can't be trusted. The WOT has come home. Worse, now we're willingly importing foreign fighters via State..."thousands", according to Comey at Rusty0604's post yesterday...

Doesn’t look like they told Pamela Geller about this, though knowing this looks like license plate identification is the source.

Aren’t they slightly late? Kinda like with the 9/11 flyboys.

Strickly CYA. The FBI has become a bunch of political hacks and tools and is trying to live off the reputation of competence of others 50 or 60 years ago. Bumbling fools cannot even find the Clinton Global Crime Initiative, IRS federal crimes, HSBC drug money laundering, etc.

“The Prophet Mohammed”

Why is it written this way as if it had been proven true? As if he were elected Presidand and was referred to as such? Is Jesus referred to as The Messiah Jesus?

I’m not a religious guy but I hate double standards and this is DEFINITELY one of those!

“Bumbling fools cannot even find the Clinton Global Crime Initiative, IRS federal crimes, HSBC drug money laundering, etc.”

And what about George Soros, who needs to be doing time in about 13 countries, IIRC? ;)

“what I’ve seen so far looks like we did it the way we were supposed to do it,” Comey said.

Except that the actual interdiction and apprehension of the perps was _entirely_ performed by an uninformed [off-duty?] local cop on site.

Like the Ukraine, we see the US federal government promising all kinds of security, and spending staggering amounts to prepare it, but when the _actual_attack_ comes...well...yup they’re busy getting every piece of paperwork in order.

I have an opinion on where this is going...

...just too tired to think about writing it out now.

Soon, I expect. My last nerve is about hit.

Perhaps we all need to draw and display cartoons such as were displayed in Dallas. Might just draw out all those hiding underground ISIS “fighters” so the rest of us can dispose of them. Like setting a trap for the rats to come and play.

You’re not far off. It’s mostly a psychological game with petty criminals. Sadly, the security industry preys on fear and ‘feelings’ of security. Every little bit helps, but who has an unlimited budget?

There’s no stopping a determined burglar or robber. Information security and practiced response are the only remaining sane remedies (save for good insurance). Plus expect your home will eventually be broken into; valuables they can find are gone, as are visible safes...if you get my drift.

This segues into a discussion on ‘after-the-crash’, but I’m not into bursting a lot of FReepers balloons this weekend...

“Trap”...akin to “life is like a box of chocolates”...(that’s all I got to say about that, other than, referring to your comment, hosting a national ‘Draw muhommed Cartoon contest’ in every major US city would be a nice start)

Whoops...confused your comment with another thread (coffee deficit).

Most of it is still pertinent, though...
