My sense is that the NFL knows it can’t quite prove it, but that they’re pretty sure. Therefore, their response is “you smear our game, then we’ll smear your game.”
And now Brady has an asterisk.
My sense is that if all quarterbacks agreed with Brady about football pressure, then they would lobby head coaches who would lobby owners who would change the rules to make it a slightly different football.
I have never believed that 3 pounds of pressure would make it possible for the many qbacks who don’t make it in the NFL to suddenly play at a superstar NFL level. They still must have that sense of space/time/speed coordination to hit a receiver while being nearly in the grasp of a 6’8” 325 pound muscle.
No, they are stupid. Would you give your phone/computer to the police just because they asked? It is nobody’s business what is on my phone or in my house.
I have heard that Brady refused to cooperate with the investigation, not providing contemporary emails and texts, etc.
For them to now say there was information ignored is duplicitous, and should be damning in the publicity sense.
Joe Theismann, as I understand it, was UNABLE to tell the difference between two balls deflated differently. We’re taking a minute difference as I understand it. Secondly, many more quarterbacks want the balls over inflated.
” A QB at that level KNOWS the feel of that ball”
And the refs are a bunch of dumb clucks. After all if under inflated football rules are such a big deal whatsa the trouble wih the refs? Are they not able to feel the same football the qb feels? Refs no have training camps, yes?
The NFL is embarrasing itself.
