In the wake of the terror attack on Pamela Geller’s Mohammed cartoon contest and free speech conference, the media are ramping up their mantra that caveats come with free speech. They don’t seem to realize that free speech with caveats is no longer free speech.
One journalist after another after another has pounded away about the need to be sensitive to others (“others” = Muslims) and not to do anything that might offend (“offend” = violence). Watching this cascade of sheer media madness has been like witnessing a hazardous waste site from a toxic explosion, belching globs of dhimmitude and accusations of fauxslamophobia. The relentlessness of the attack has been shocking along with the hubris these journalists appear to possess, as if the long arm of Islam will not touch their lives in unthinkable ways.

n addition to Pamela Geller, Robert Spencer is also taking a lot of heat, as evidenced during an interview on CNN, where Spencer was accused of setting bait and wanting violence.
Spencer also appeared on MidPoint, Newsmax TV, where the journalist started out with this statement: “There’s a fine line to be drawn between making a political statement and inciting someone to start breaking out the rifles and taking shots.”

I could be wrong, but I believe that many on the left are disappointed that the Garland attackers missed their mark.
You are not wrong.
The liberals are inconsistent and not intellectually honest in their view of this.
It happens every time. It’s because their position is both shallow and based on feelings. They tend to not think their solutions through within the context of human nature. e.g. it doesn’t dawn on them that giving the poor free money will prevent a LOT of them from ever improving their lot. And now we have the welfare state.
Tell the media to stuff it.
Pamela should be thanked by all patriotic Americans for accomplishing several things:
She shook loose a few muslim crazies who were ready to kill Americans and were just looking for a venue, time, and place.
She shook loose a bunch of cowardly lefties and psuedo-conservatives who believe they have the superior intelligence and judgment to determine which Americans are worthy of First Amendment protection and when they deserve it.
She gave the leftist media another chance to display how disreputable and anti-American they truly are.
And many are doing just that.
It’s beyond bizarre that the only religion they seem to revere is Islam. They’re tools of the jihadists and don’t even realize it.

Agreed. She publicly decries radical Mohammedism and with this contest, exposed exactly what she has been preaching. I do not like the idea of inciting violence, especially against oneself. She could get herself killed and her movement might die, literally. On the other hand, thanks to the media, her words are getting magnified. Like James O'Keefe says, make the media react to you, not the other way around.

On January 17,2015 and in the same public school center, there was a “Stand with the Prophet” rally by Muslims, a provocative pro-Shariah law event, by supporters of Al-Qaida and Isis organized by one of the terrorists implicated in the bombing of the garage of the NY World Trade Center in 1993.
I wonder if those who try to blame the organizers of the “First Annual Muhammad Art Exhibit and Contest,” for the Muslim terrorist attack would have justified if a patriotic American had irrupted in the Muslim rally on January and made a massacre of Islamic terrorists. After all, Americans are profoundly offended by their provocation and the abuse of our freedoms by those who made the Muslim rally in support of the savages that decapitate, crucify and burned Christians alive.
The “Dhimmitude” media, scared by Islamic violence, auto-censors itself and tries to justify the terrorist attack in Texas because the Mohamed cartoons contest offended the sensibility of Islamic terrorists.

Holding a drawing contest for a religious figure is provocative.
Trying to kill the people attending the contest is not provocative.
