BERLIN — German authorities conducted raids across the country on Wednesday, seizing explosives and arresting four people accused of founding a right-wing extremist group to attack mosques and housing for asylum seekers.

Police arrested three men and a woman accused of leading the group during raids by some 250 investigators on homes in Saxony and four other states, the federal prosecutor’s office said in a statement.

So what did the asylum seekers do to cause the attack?

AP reports always seems to be written to lead you into a specific opinion.
Why are reports about one "right-wing" group always bringing up other right-wing groups, in this case a bank-robbing neo-nazi group with no apparent connection to the four they just arrested? Why not stick to the subject at hand?
Why are neo-nazis referred to as "right-wing" when we know by now that nazis have more in common with commies?
Where did anti-semetism enter the picture other than in general terms?
European governments seem to be quite good at that themselves, without any help from "extremists".

Thanks for posting.

It is not clear to me that “National Socialist” is “right-wing,” as I consider socialism to be left-wing.

“Anti-Semitic” used to mean anti-Jewish. Has that meaning been retained, or do we have a type of bait and switch where words are given new meaning?

It’s a little hard to follow this article because, as with many AP articles, it is written in indoctrination-speak rather than clear English.

It’s a 1-way war for sure on our own soils.

You are correct Sir. During the latter stages of the Wiemar Republic, the right wing was totally ineffectual as the National Socialists gained power. Eventually, the Communists and other left wing parties coalesced with the Nazis and the Right was never a power.

Good call sir. In fact, Dr. Goebbels was originally a commie before he met Hitler. In fact, many Nazis were committed socialists, which is no where near the definition of being right wing as it is defines in the USA. The Nazis and Commies shared a common goal of the all Powerful Centralized Government running the show. The only difference being that the Nazis would allow for private business ownership while under strict government control.

It’s the MAIN reason that Ernst Rohm was killed in the Night of the Long Knives.

Rohm and most of the SA, were Communists in all but name, advocating a complete nationalization of all German industry. Hitler, realizing that he needed the industrialists on his side to build his war machine, had to off Rohm to placate the industrialists.

No doubt, that once the war was won, Hitler would have offed the Industrialists as a class, with as much vigor as the Jews.

That is true. Along with the industrialists, Hitler also had a deal with the military just before the Night of the Long Knives. After offing Rohm (who wanted to also lead the nationalized Brownshirts as Germany’s military), the military pledged complete loyalty to Hitler.
