Huckabee On Foul-Mouthed, “Trashy” Women at Fox News (just 4 months ago)

The foul-mouthed women of Fox News were a disquieting element of doing his weekly show for the conservative cable TV network, ex-Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee told an Iowa radio interviewer. Huckabee is back courting the Hawkeye State — he won Iowa’s 2008 precinct caucuses — in preparing his second bid for the White House. The religious right champion quit his weekly show on Fox News to get ready for the 2016 Republican race.

A Baptist preacher, Huckabee confessed to culture shock when doing his show in New York. “In the South, or in the Midwest, there in Iowa, you would not have people who would just throw the F-bomb or use gratuitous profanity in a professional setting,” Huckabee told Des Moines radio host Jan Michelson on “Michelson in the Morning.” “In New York, not only do men do it, but the women. My gosh, this is worse than locker-room talk. As we would say in the South, that’s just trashy.”

The avuncular Huckabee is coming across these days as a cultural warrior, particularly in his new book “God, Guns, Grits and Gravy.”

Fox News boss Roger Ailes is famously potty-mouthed, even when he was then-Vice President George H.W. Bush on his television presence. Huckabee has long contrasted alleged values of the heartland with the culture and mores of America’s cities on the East and West Coasts.

I think the missing word was Ailes ‘advising’ Bush I on his television appearances...

The problem is that Huckster seems like a good dude, but then he goes and stabs 50% of the people he worked with at Fox in the back just weeks after leaving.

No one will vote for someone like that with zero loyalty

He’s trying to pull conservative religious voters away from both Cruz and Walker. That will result in divide and conquer the conservative vote yet again. They know we love in-fighting and circular firing squads.

Ailes said that the patrician Bush gave speeches like a f-— pantywaist.

Worst primary talking points? No, the best. Someone has to stand up for Christian values and female virtue. I’m glad Huckabee is. Shows a lot of class and courage.

Shame on Huckabee for suggesting discourse between people ought to be cordial and civil. This makes him unfit to be president.

As we would say in the South, that’s just trashy.

A person trying to win the nomination wouldn't have regionalized the above comment.

Huckster has no chance of winning the nomination and instead is simply trying to disrupt the Southern primaries so that the non establishment candidate Cruz doesn't win.

I agree.
Cruz or Walker.

Everyone else is a distraction.

Oh my goodness...what a bosom tsunami!

The three foxiest Fox chicks deployed for action. Too much to hope that the last thing I see on this Earth might be that lovely sextet!

Huck winning in Iowa was a fluke last time because of a weak field. Not the problem now...
