Oh...I see...just another version of the Mayor of Baltimore’s attitude.
Just back off and let them be violent. Ignore the burning, looting, violence. Focus on the grievances.

While it true that the majority of protesters were throwing rocks. bottles, bricks, pipes and chunks of steel at police officers there were some in the crowd who were throwing mattresses, couch cushions, chairs and car seats liberated from looted and vandalized cars to the officers.
These protesters I salute for their concern for the comfort of police officers who were obviously hard at work.
While there were protesters starting fires in local homes, business and cars, there were those concerned citizens who were urinating on the burning cars and buildings and for these valiant attempts to extinguish the flames i salute you
I also saw protesters diligently trying to return tear gas and smoke canisters to the police officers who had obviously misplaced them-despite the fact that the canisters were burning and spewing smoke and tear gas. For this selfless act with complete disregard for their own safety, I salute these civic minded protesters
Obama loves this, wants this and will take advantage of this.
