The Maryland prosecutor who brought charges Friday against six Baltimore police officers within hours of receiving a medical examiners report on the death of Freddie Gray is facing accusations that her swift action was over zealous and perhaps politically motivated.
The Baltimore police union leader, Gene Ryan, made the most clear-cut accusations, after he raised concerns about Marilyn Mosby being married to City Councilman Nick Mosby.
It is clear that your husbands political future will be impacted, for better or worse, by the outcome of your investigation, Ryan, president of Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 3, wrote Mosby after her Friday announcement.
He also argued Mosby has a conflict of interest because she received campaign contributions from Grays family attorney William Murphy. Ryan asked that she appoint a special prosecutor to avoid the appearance of impropriety or of violating the rules of professional responsibility.

Based on a plain reading of the statute.
§ 59-22 Switch-blade knives.
It shall be unlawful for any person to sell, carry, or possess any knife with an automatic spring or other device for opening and/or closing the blade
This makes any knife with a device for opening or closing the blade illegal to possess in Baltimore. This is much more broad than just "switchblades".
I agree with your 2nd sentence, but look, we don’t know this woman and don’t have access to the information she has, so it’s probably pointless to attack her personally. There’s little doubt from her own language that she was emotionally involved and went ahead wit the charges rather than take a more cautious measured approach. I do believe that decision will backfire as the fact become known, as I do believe the justice system will get this right.
The democrat police officers in Baltimore are getting just what they deserve, the police unions are sleeping with dogs, so now they have fleas.
These six officers innocent or not is not the issue, their problem is they support leftists, and now the leftists have turned on them for the rule of the mob, not the rule of law.
What justice system do you refer to?
AUTOMATIC device
Might depend on the conditions of the probation....
Oh wow. I’m Human. I left out the word NOT “probable cause”. Silly me.
She didn’t do anything until Sharpton arrived. I saw the video of her asking for him to come to Baltimore.
I knew then it was going to be a railroad of police.
The Police Unions need to get a change of venue - pronto.
Dat mayor done screwed the pooch! She be toast, burnt toast.
He was observed by officers doing a monetary exchange of cash and some goods in a high traffic drug sales area. He fled police and toxicology reports from the autopsy revealed heroin and marijuana in his system, probably ingested to destroy evidence.
No. Automatic spring or other device.
There are, of course, two ways to read that clause - the adjective "automatic" could modify EITHER the word "spring" OR the clause "spring or other device."
There is also the part of the law that you omitted - "commonly known as a switch-blade knife."
The point is, as I mentioned above, the Baltimore code provision re: switchblades is a terribly vague provision.
The police reports mention nothing about any exchange of cash or goods. Nor has the autopsy report (including the toxicology reports) been released. So, everything you said is just pure speculation.
She probably horrible in Court
Given that, it is my opinion that if the decedent possessed a knife that had a device with which to open and close the blade, whether or not you would call it a “switchblade”, the officers had probable cause to arrest him under the statute or, at the very least, reasonably believed they did.
Not to the public, Moseby is sitting on them. A police officer with first hand knowledge of the entire event is informing the public.
“”What happened to Beau Biden, and where is he these days? Ive forgotten his exact position.””
We won’t tell anyone but you made the same mistake I made some months back - mistaking MD for DE.... He’s the Attorney General of Delaware.
