My Sister's Closet ads pulled from light rail trains

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Are they clever ads with a play on words, or are they just outright sexually-explicit?

A valley store's new billboards are at the center of controversy, and Valley Metro has already pulled them off their trains.

The ads are nothing new; chances are you've seen them on trucks or billboards around Phoenix.

The owner of My Sister's Closet said she entered into an advertising agreement, the ads were approved, so she was stunned when the ads were abruptly pulled.

"Wanted: One Night Stand, Buy a Bigger Chest, Make a Booty Call," my sister's closet thought these ads were cheeky, but Valley Metro thought differently.

Today this would normally be viewed as quite tame. What’s been happening?

The gay crowd is offended because:

1. One Night Stand = a suggestion that you are limited to one per night.
   
2. Buy a Bigger Chest = suggests a female
   
3. Make a Booty Call = suggests heterosexual intercourse and makes them feel excluded and uncomfortable.

I could see the normal sort of complaint that this is naughty language, but it can be viewed from the standpoint that not everything that sounds naughty, is naughty. One night stand is, sometimes, just one night stand. Or as Freud put it, a cigar is sometimes just a cigar (and it’s our fault for continuing to think ill of it).

The light rail was pushed through by Janet Napolitano. Kinda wondering if there is some animosity from a liberal light rail faction.
