Ted Cruz: Democrats home to 'liberal fascism'

WAUKEE, Iowa (CNN) —Sen. Ted Cruz argued Saturday that Democrats have become so extreme and "intolerant" of religious views that "there is no room for Christians in today's Democratic Party."

"There is a liberal fascism that is dedicated to going after believing Christians who follow the biblical teaching on marriage," the Texas Republican said in his speech before a Christian conservative audience in Waukee, Iowa.

Cruz joined eight other presidential candidates and potential contenders on stage at the Iowa Faith and Freedom summit, where speakers railed against what they see as threats to religious liberty. For his part, Cruz alluded to business that faced pushback for declining to cater to same-sex weddings.

Many of the speakers also pointed to the recent debate over an Indiana religious liberty law that was designed to protect those who objected to participating in same-sex marriage ceremonies. But the law came under fire from critics who said it was discriminatory against same-sex couples, and its language was subsequently tweaked.

As the Supreme Court gets ready to hear oral arguments on whether to overturn same-sex marriage bans in states, Cruz introduced legislation last week that would protect bans in place.

Cruz urged the audience to "fall on our knees and pray" ahead of the Supreme Court's final ruling on the issue, which is expected this summer.

"We need leaders who will stand unapologetically in defense of marriage," he said.

It's difficult for the Democraps to publicly contradict Ted because the Democraps will alienate their anti-religious, moonbat base.

In addition to being right, Ted is shrewd.

Actually “leftist nihilism” is a better term

“there is no room for Christians in today’s Democratic Party”

Like Obama is doing for Iran, the Democrat party has provided Ted Cruz with unlimited access to nuclear weapons and the above quote is the latest one launched against them, coming from their own silo.

I like Cruz more every single day. He does something unheard of.... he doesn’t care what the pundits and opponents think of him. And by opponents, I mean GOP and revolutionary socialist. (I have moved away from the term “democrat” for that party)

And no, Ted is not using Alinskyism. He’s doing the opposite, which is telling the truth.

Right. He’s left everyone else far behind. His method is to step out of political correctness altogether.

The only way to catch up with him is to do the same.

How so?

Nihilists wouldn't care about what anybody else thinks. Or if they do care, it's not that big a thing with them.

Cue John Goodman: "Nihilists! **** me. I mean, say what you want about the tenets of National Socialism, Dude, at least it's an ethos."

Anyone who believes that killing babies is acceptable is not a Christian. Anyone who favors homosexual “marriage” is not a Christian.

Jesus says, “If you continue in my Word, then you are my followers. You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”(John 8:31)

The entire speech that Ted Cruz delivered at the 2015 Iowa Faith & Freedom Summit yesterday was remarkable and worth watching.

I liked the persuasive argument Cruz made to back up his assertion that there is no room for faithful Christians in the extreme, radicalized modern Democrat Party.

Cruz compared the unambiguous statement of Democrat President John F. Kennedy strongly supporting religious liberty with a vote of the 2014 Democrat-controlled Senate on a bill that would gut the Federal Religious Freedom Restoration Act following the Supreme Court's Hobby Lobby decision. There were 55 Democrats in the Senate, and ZERO would stand for religious liberty.

The setup and portion of the Cruz speech where he makes this argument can be watched at this link queued to the pertinent time >>> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vrx2zbzL0Tg&t=8m25s

The Democrats are not going to come out and say that Evangelical Christians are welcome into their party and they are particularly not going to say they are welcome in their party leadership.

The Democrats HATE traditional Christians. They only love the PCUSA brand of Christians, i.e., homosexual pastored congregations of people who don’t believe in Christ.

Cruz says what needs to be said in no uncertain terms. That’s why I would not support any other candidate (although I might possibly vote for Walker, even though I don’t think he’s the guy we need).

I watched this last night and I loved it.

For liberty loving ‘real conservatives’, supporting Cruz is the only choice that makes sense.

~~Go, Cruz, Go~~

I support Cruz, but I no more want a tyranny of leftist beliefs than I want a Tyranny of Christian beliefs.

The Constitution is a frame that allows for ideas, religious or secular, to stand up on their own two legs when challenged. The subtle issue here is that America was created around the assumption of a Judeo Christian moral authority that originated from God, who is the author of our natural rights. This speaks to the understanding of right and wrong as codified in the 10 Commandments and the notion that one’s rights cease where they cause injury to another’s rights. This is an essential companion to our belief in individual liberties. It is the moral responsibility that accompanies those beliefs. Some Christians want to go farther and impose religious doctrine on other’s individual rights.

The leftist have no belief in natural rights or a moral code originating from higher authority. Therefore, they need government to define, regulate and compel “right” thought and behavior and to forbid deviance. This is the antithesis of individual liberty.

So you're saying we have "tyranny of Christian beliefs?"

Seriously?

Tyranny of Christian Beliefs = Theocracy.

There is a good example of a theocracy that exists and it is not Christian it is a Muslim Theocracy - Iran

Tyranny of Leftist ideals = is Barack Hussein Obama. A living breathing example of the lefist liberal fascistic ideal is Chicago and many ways Detroit, MI
