Fox News Poll: Marco Rubio jumps to head of 2016 GOP pack, Clinton honesty questioned
Fox News ^ | 04/23/2015 | Dana Blanton

The Bush dynasty is a negative for voters and Marco Rubio is seen as a leader of the future, as the Florida senator jumps to the head of the GOP pack. The Clinton dynasty is a plus -- and even though Hillary could have an honesty problem, she dominates the Democratic side. And both the Republican faithful (with their crowded field) and the Democratic faithful (with their sole favorite) are happy with their range of 2016 choices.

These are some of the findings from the latest Fox News poll on the 2016 presidential election. Here are some more:

Announcing your candidacy helps your poll numbers. Florida Sen. Marco Rubio receives a five percentage-point bump after his April 13 announcement and has the backing of 13 percent in the race for the Republican nomination -- just a touch over Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker who gets 12 percent among self-identified GOP primary voters. Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul comes in at 10 percent, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee earn 9 percent each and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz gets 8 percent.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson each garner 6 percent. Last month Christie was at 4 percent and Carson at 11 percent.

White evangelical Christians are most likely to support Huckabee (13 percent), Paul (11 percent), Cruz and Rubio (10 percent each).

Top picks among the Tea Party include Walker (19 percent), Rubio (14 percent), Paul (13 percent), Huckabee and Cruz (10 percent each).

I’m all for Rubio sucking up that Florida donation money.

That is probably true. After his immigration debacle I asked them to take off all their lists and they did. Now I am all Cruz but Rubio at least wouldn’t grate on my nerves like Hillary or Bush.

I think because Fox seems to be purposely ignoring Cruz, those who watch Fox, do not know anything about him, therefor their poll would reflect that.

Let’s make Cruz the social media and internet candidate of choice and leave the dinosaur of the tube in the dust come election day.

I’m with Cruz all the way, but would never cast a vote for Rubio. He is amen empty suit that simply follows wherever the political winds blow. Check out his record in FL.

Seems now that Pravda was just a Scout Team probing what would be acceptable journalism and corruption 20 years in the future...

Rubio and if not Rubio, then Jeb Bush. Just not any conservatives, please.

Did you forget the /s?

If not, you must want the GOP to lose because I and millions of others will not vote for a Democrat in an R jersey.

I think he is speaking using the mouth of Fox News, because that seems to be the position of Fox News generally speaking.

I’m not aware of anyone on this website that supports Rubio or Bush.

I looked into the matter of fox polling and if you follow the link above, you will see their polling companies are Anderson Robbins Research (D) and Shaw and Company Research (R); these companies runs continuous polls daily.

I don't think this is biased, one can go through and look at pages of their polls, from a week ago, to a month ago and so on. As one of the posts above says, maybe #3, the poll gathers similar results as the Quinnipac poll had.

Interesting. It is good to know the source and biases. And here on FR we have expert who know how to “divine” these polls.

Cruz/Rubio is the #1 GOP Ticket by far

I'm thinking Walker/Rubio.

And instead of buckling down and throwing more support to Cruz, many will just bemoan the potential problems and may even opt to not “waste” any money on Cruz unless he makes another surge....

There must be polls, I suppose, but at this point in time they are completely useless. Go ask Howard Dean.

The GOP-Establishment & pro-Amnesty ticket. Again.

God help us...

So far Cruz and Walker are at the top of my list. Cruz would make a great president. Walker is the administrator we need. If Cruz was VP I’d love to see him steer the senate. I do not trust Rubio. Something is phony about him.

I just think he made a big splash, as time goes on he will not be able to sustain it with substance. I think Walker is smart to wait. BTW it’s good to know there is a conservative in Chicago. My home town, all my family is there, all libs. :(
