Paul: Obama White House, Congress Should Both Consider Investigating Hillary Clinton’s Uranium Deal

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), a 2016 GOP presidential candidate, told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview on Thursday morning that President Barack Obama should investigate former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton—and that he’s pushing for a congressional investigation as well—after a New York Times report on Wednesday evening based on an explosive new book uncovered her role in a shady Uranium deal.

Paul, who was previously briefed on the findings of the forthcoming Peter Schweizer book Clinton Cash, said:

This really has been the particular case of the Clinton Cash that bothers me the most and that should bother voters the most. We now have a uranium company that is control of 20 percent of the uranium mining in North America—that’s owned by the Russians. This deal had to be approved by Hillary Clinton and it turns out that the stockholders in that company gave $145 million to Hillary Clinton’s foundation. I can’t imagine how she could be a part of the decision-making process while she received so much money in her foundation—$145 million.

Paul specifically said that President Obama should be outraged at this, and should personally demand an investigation into the matter:

I think there are some questions that have to be investigated. If I were President Obama, I would want to know what other potential deals was she in charge of where she received donations to the foundation during the same period of time. Really it is a question—there is a sense of impropriety, or an appearance of impropriety here, where they’re accepting money from shareholders of a company that was then sold to the Russians at the same time. So I just don’t see any reason why the Clinton Foundation should be accepting any money from foreign countries or from foreigners.

It will never happen - it might expose 0bama and Valerie Jarrett's cut from the bribes.

I heard about this earlier. Selling Uranium mining shares to a Russian? Am I hallucinating? When is the tipping point where the Hilladrones will think something is wrong?

I suspect hillary is going to be a difficult sell....

The elitists must be hoping that, as with the Benghazi issue and Romney, they can compromise any dissent.

I can't repeat this often enough. If hillary is unstoppable, we're stuck with Jeb. Voters who would've chosen to vote in the Democratic Party will overwhelm the Repbulican Primary and "vote for the worst". The worst being Jeb.

Jeb is a loser. They would vote Biden IMO before Jeb.

What’s to investigate, just read the reports. Why isn’t she already in jail?

True that. Jeb benefits from this distraction, who, btw, is the subject of Schweitzer’s next book.

Trey Gowdy is getting the job done.

It's amazing what can be accomplished by a smart guy who has subpoena power and is more interested in private depositions than public grandstanding.

That’s my point. It’s in the primaries we have to stop Jeb. We can’t do that unless there’s viable Democratic opposition. They’d vote for Biden or any other dem in November, but for Jeb in the primary.

If Paul really thinks there is a ghost of a chance that 0bama would investigate Hillary he should consider prescribing himself some Thorazine.

The problem in many states is that Democrats are allowed to vote in open primaries for their choice of Republican or Democrat, so in a state like CA you would have many Democrats voting to sabotage the Republican nominee knowing their Democrat is in already.

Will they have the “jungle” primary for POTUS?

Is there a chance that there are 2 Dems on the ballot in November like the election that Sandy Fluke lost?

Well here in CA you can vote two Dems as the final choice in an election for local stuff.
Many states have open primaries where any party can vote in a local Republican Primary. Nothing like having 45% of the Republican primary vote influenced by Democrats.

Where I work, and certainly with many others, just the ‘ALLUSION’ of conflict of interest can lead to termination. This govt is such a crock!
