Of course the media like to play the “meme” that the only reason the evangelicals support them is to “bring on the end of the world” like it is a kook thing. Even though there is only a small minority of the “kook evangelicals” that actually believe in this whole “Evangelical + Jewish Rapture” meme that the Media likes to paint all Evangelicals and Christians who support Israel. The MSM does this to try a wedge between Christians and Jews.
From what I can tell the vast majority of Evangelicals, Catholics and other Christians believe in supporting Judaism because it is basically the “roots” of Christianity. This support is done out of an “Honor thy father and mother” type of respect for Judaism. It is an understanding that Jesus was a Jew and while we may not always agree with everything Judaism believes in, we still respect it as a major part of our rich Religious Heritage.
