Normally when were reporting news from China, it typically involves them ripping off something someone else did. Today, though, theres actually something interesting to talk about a supercar. A completely unique not copied supercar from China. Go figure.

Most cars have the speakers inside the car.
It looks like this car has the speakers on the outside.
What in the world are they thinking?
To be honest I think it is heavily influenced by Peugeot RCZ exterior. Looks like RCZ on steroids actually. Also a bit from Audi R8.
“Looks like every other sports car. Maybe if they added pagoda eaves on the roof.”

I think Chinese domestic car brands has heavily improved for a last 10 years when they first came out of closet.
Ooooooh! I like the dragonfly on the hood!
Maybe I’ll get one of those for my truck! And replace the saddle blanket on the driver seat!
I’m all stoked up now!
My 1998 Suzuki DR650 motorcycle would leave it in the dust...
...in 0-60, of course...
The old single cylinder dual-sport bikes start to lose a little “oomph” above 80mph or so.
I can definitely see some R8 in it. I’m not familiar with the Peugeot - I tend to ignore French cars.

Oh, probably. I’m sure they’ll be available at Harbor Freight any day now. Maybe I’ll buy one and see. I have a Chinese tractor; it’s pretty good.
By the way... that was supposed to be a joke. MANY cars of ALL brands are “out by the curb on trash day”. That’s where cars live. :-)
I’d expect the difference to be trans and rear-end gearing.
A good driver of a RICE can cycle through the gears and post a 4.5s. The electric-motor-jockey is at the mercy of the drive-train; it cannot be changed.
The electric motor might take the start from the hole (e-motors apply 100% HP ^on start^ so the tires better be damn good!) but, power applied evenly across the e-motor -once they are “on plane”- will show their weakness.
Likely not as “super” a car as they envision. I suspect the Rousch and Shelby Mustang as well as the Hellcat would shame this China-girl on the track.
Design input? Not bad but, who hasn’t done a low-slung roadster with graphic angles in the paint scheme? You can see that everyday on I-94 between Jackson and Detroit.
To be a real super car, it should be able to go from 0 to 60 and back to 0 in only slightly more time than that.
That ain’t no dragonfly!
It’s a “damselfly”
/snicker
It looks like somebody slapped a cheap ricer body kit on what started out as a decent looking car.
At around $150k, with a 120-mile range. Nothing to recommend it really, but it does show that Chinese can’t duplicate the Tesla for less money. In other words, it is more indication that Teslas are being sold at less than their cost of production.
I like the Dragon Fly emblem.
Or a dragonfly with a windshield appointment...
Heck, half the lowered barrio and ghetto cars in this country fit that description.
I prefer the old school styling of the Hellcat anyway.
It does look like there is a 20 year old Honda hiding under all of that.
Why are they estimating? Haven’t they tested the danged thing yet?
You and me both, brudder...
you and me both.
