Since the American embassy in Yemen had been shut down, Mansour wound up calling the U.S. embassy in Saudi Arabia. “I told them there were about 75 families here waiting at the port,” she recalled. “My family has been waiting there for two weeks. We ran out of money, we ran out of food.”
It was not the U.S. government that finally put Mansour and a handful of other refugees on that slow boat to Dijibouti – it was CNN. The news network chartered a ship and rescued 15 Americans, who counted themselves very lucky to make it on board. CNN can get people out of Yemen, but the Obama Administration can’t.
The State Department has been telling Americans to roll the dice and seek passage to Djibouti on foreign ships, while the embassy says it does not know who to contact to ensure such passage. Other Americans have been able to find seats on U.N. evacuation flights and Russian ships.
Most of them end up passing through Djibouti – where, by all accounts, both the American embassy and host government have been doing an outstanding job of managing both American evacuees and Yemeni refugees coming across the border.

So, are Saudi Arabia, Iran and Egypt getting ready to do front-line battle in Yemen? (wondering about a girl I knew from there long, long ago).

Next Conservative President (ie: Walker, Cruz) ought to wipe the State Dept clean and start over with fresh, young conservatives! Same with the CIA, FBI, Dept of Def, etc.

This is nothing short of criminal.
And I notice that CNN Still couldn’t bring themselves to report this in spite of the fact that they were the ones to help.
I do believe there are serious problems in these departments.
The State Department is bad. I do know there are good people there, but how do you distinguish them from the others? There’s the issue of having people who know what they are doing there. It is vital not to have novices running the place. Carter and Obama’s teams have made massive mistakes because they were in part bumbling fools. I do agree that a review is in order, and I would like to see many heads roll. Getting the Left entirely out has to be our goal. They are traitors IMO. If you leave one, they’ll leak what they want anytime they want.
The CIA definitely needs good people in charge. Same thing with the FBI and the Department of Defense. I’d expand your idea to the Secret Service also. It needs to be brought back in line with it’s mandate. What’s going on there right now is unacceptable.
Frankly, if I was in there I’d go back to the Branch Davidian incident and some heads would role there too. People involved in the Ruby Ridge incident need to be addressed also.
It’s time to put our federal agencies on notice. You’re not going to F with the American Public on my watch.
It’s a whole top to bottom review. Any good Conservative would want this. Departments of Education and the EPA need to be gone. They’re just plain whack jobs now.
As for NASA, there’s another place that needs to be looked at top to bottom. Any group tasked with space that can’t even get to the Space Station is a group that needs to be whittle severely.
I get the impression it could do a lot more, with a lot less idiots.
Anyone associated with Islamic outreach would be the first ones to get their walking papers.
Give me a plan to get back into space immediately, with returns in 24 to 36 months.
My youngest has expressed a desire to join the military. As a big flag-waver, from a military family, myself, I am discouraging it. I now know he will not be supported. It makes me sick.
The state department is extremely liberal, ful of socialist and communists, and their people think they are cream of the crop, when they are lower than those working with them.
First hand experience.
This is inexcusable.

The government doesn’t seem to be having any problems flying planeloads of Somali and Syrian Muslims in here every day. Few Christians if any, though.
