The problem is even worse than that. The ratio of college educated black women to college educated black men is really skewed. Most black women, if they want a college educated black man, will never realize that. Just one more casualty of the Democrats’ war against minorities.

There are more white women in college than white men.
Men are slacking, women are getting educated.
Oh, I thought this was going to be about Dad’s in Detroit.
The problem is that, when you compare apples to apples (white man vs black man... same criminal record, same crime committed, same age) the black man will get a much harsher sentence.
The very bad part is that the black man will also get a record that will stand in the way of him becoming an effective provider once he gets out.
Think about how many of our presidents have admitted to doing drugs in their youth. Had they been *caught* or prosecuted as black men are, they never would’ve made the Oval Office.
So the harsher sentences for young black males truly do have a tremendous impact on their future and hamper their entire community in the long run.
Young white males are spared this black mark - for the exact same crimes.

Young white males play with drugs at nearly the same rate as young black males. But their futures aren’t ruined when they get caught. They can recover from that mistake, go to school, get a decent job, and then later support a family.
If white males were held to the same standards as black males in the courts, we’d have a screaming crisis, too.
This has been looked at, by right and left, from every angle. It is true. Apples to apples, black men get much harsher sentences than white males for the same crimes - even taking into account their histories and past crimes.
The premise is ridiculous on it’s face. There are no two identical criminals. The real truth is that you have to work VERY hard in America to actually make it to prison.
If someone sticks a gun in your face and robs you in the parking lot, they will have felonies falling out of their pocket.
After trying for decades to develop an SAT test where blacks could score as well as whites they finally gave up and stopped using them for college admissions. Since it seems impossible to write laws that blacks won’t break, maybe the NYT thinks its time to get rid of the laws?
If there are fewer black men and then most black men prefer white women, what does it say about black women?
