The roster move the Eagles are expected to make Monday shot straight to the top of the publicity charts. A lot of people might have been Tebowing that it was not true, but it is. The Eagles are adding a Heisman Trophy winner to their crowded quarterback depth chart.
Oregon's Marcus Mariota remains a long shot to be in Eagles green after the NFL draft. Tim Tebow, on the other hand, will be on the practice fields at the NovaCare Complex after he signs a one-year deal with the team Monday. He'll be one of five quarterbacks on the roster, joining Sam Bradford, his former New York Jets teammate Mark Sanchez, Matt Barkley and G.J. Kinne.

As long as he is not asked to throw, he will do just fine.
He wins, that’d be funny if he got another chance and they won. But winning is secondary to his and our faith in the Lord.
I don’t think enjoying watching a sport is wrong. I love watching football. I don’t like the worship of the gangster life and left wing nonsense that some announcers spout, and the players wearing pink like idiots for breast cancer awareness. My girlfriend has had beast cancer twice an thins its ridiculous. But they are INCREDIBLE athletes and don’t see harm in enjoying the game if you don’t take it too far

ok. Sounds balanced. All are save if the accept Jesus as the Son of God but I still see paganistic worship of these steroid freaks and I don’t think that is proper.

I don’t know what to think. They are going to be looked up to by kids just as the Dimaggios and Ruths were. Probably best to explain to the kids that they are just people like everyone else and just as flawed, to enjoy watching them play but not look for a savior in them.
It does break my heart though every time one of these guys visits a cancer ward. The kids go crazy over them. They see a big strong guy and it makes them feel safe, if only for an afternoon. I don’t know if they players do it because they have to or want to but I know many of the leave crying.
Worshipping the Eagles? That’s like worshipping a 2nd tier minor Greek Deity. Now worshipping the Patriots...? Totally different story....

Typical condescending article about Tebow. “For some reason” Tebow can’t give up his dream of an NFL career. Gee maybe because he’s a Heismann winner and national champion and has that opportunity whereas the writer is nothing.
