9/11 COVER-UP? The latest claim isn’t from conspiracy theorists--it’s from a former top US Senator. He says documents prove Saudi Arabia helped pull off the attacks, and that the FBI hid the truth. Shep has details:

What possible gain would the Saudis get from damaging the United States?
We were standing between them and Saddam Hussein.
I do believe that Saudi nationals were involved, but that doesn’t mean the government of Saudi Arabia was. If that logic holds water, the Bill Clinton was the guiding power behind Tim McVeigh.
We had about 20,000 Saudi students in country on education visas in 2001. Today we have 30,000 in country.
We know of 19 people involved in the 2001 effort. If Saudi Arabia was truly behind this effort, there would have been literally thousands of active agents here.
IMO, this is a misguided bunch of noise.
This is eminently believable. Why wouldn’t it be? The people who teach in schools that Jews are rats? Whats there to yawn about. The fact that the Bushes, who are in bed with the Sauds, drove into a horrible futile and pointless war?
I would need to see more details.
And I find the timing of this suspicious as Iran makes it move in the Middle East and one if its obstacles is SA.
It has been my take, that the Saudi Government felt bad some of their citizens were involved. They offered that money as an apology, and pulled back a stump.
I’m sure Giuliani meant well, but I think that was a mistake.
Interesting.....I don’t see how you connect the dots from a Saudi family living in Sarasota helping the 9/11 terrorists to the Saudi government....

Just because Obama sold the Iraqis and our nation out in Iraq, it doesn’t mean that war was pointless.
Iraq is so much better today than it was. It isn’t threatening any other nations. It’s quiet and peaceful there.
Of course that ignores the Obama funded and armed ISIS moving over the landscape. Other than that, Iraq had been quiet and nothing compared to the Hussein years.
That took pressure off the Arab Emirate States, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Israel.
Obama sent in arms and funds to combat the Syrian government. I think his arms and funds wound up as the basis for ISIS. I think he accidentally or even purposefully funded and armed ISIS.
What about collusion with progressives in the US government who thought GWB was selected and not elected ? They basically threw temper tantrums because of the Supreme Court ruling and went on a work slowdown, although that was difficult to notice.
I am not sure how I felt about it back then, but to me it was kind of an admission that he figured he knew who was behind it.
I also remember hearing that the Bush admin spirited prominent Saudis out of the US right after the attacks. Some were Bin Ladens, if I remember correctly.

There are lots of idiots pointing to the systematic collapsing of the floors as if they had been imploded with explosives. To me this is one of their key cornerstone and basis for their arguments. I think it is entirely possible simply for the reason we have been employing them as janitors for years. It is VERY conceivable that they loaded up the buildings to coincide with the greater attack thereby insuring the trade centers did come down with huge loss of life.
The muslim conspiracists want to blame the CIA. They want more self doubt in place. It’s a beautiful propaganda tool.
ME? I’ll blame the muslim janitors who had carte blanch access to the towers.

What you had were several thousand degree fires causing the girders to give way. It’s my understanding that these towers had been built to sustain a 727 hit. They weren’t built to sustain a 747 hit fully loaded with fuel.
The construction of two towers was unusual. The exterior of the building actually tied into the structure allowing them to avoid using other types of support. Once one floor went, other pancaked.
You have to realize the weight of those structures above where the 747s impacted the buildings. Once those began to pancake, the weight couldn’t be stopped crashing down floor by floor.
Part of the reason why those floors looked like charges had been set is because as each floor collapsed, there was a massive rush of air out of the structure on each floor due to compression. This resembled explosions at each level. It wasn’t.
Close a book in your home. Note the air escaping as you close it. Same thing, bigger scale.
I would urge you to go slow with this.
