Sen. Mike Lee: Senate Will Vote on Loretta Lynch 'Within the Next Few Weeks'

Mike Lee on Loretta Lynch: "There Will be a Vote Soon"MEET THE PRESS President Obama's nominee for attorney general will be up for a Senate vote "within the next few weeks," Senator Mike Lee, R-Utah, said on Sunday's "Meet The Press" — despite her official nomination being announced nearly 130 days ago.

Lee defended the Senate's refusal to vote on Loretta Lynch's nomination in the interview with Chuck Todd, saying that "she refused to acknowledge that there are limits to prosecutorial discretion."

One potential reason for the vote delay is that Republicans are protesting Obama's use of executive action on immigration reform in November. His action is temporarily on hold due to a Texas federal court order.

Cave In?

Sure.

It is to be expected.

To oppose Lynch is to invite body blows from the media. Why should any senator risk his/her reelection over something so inconsequential?

The only way to cure the popular sickness that infects congress is to repeal the 17th Amendment.

Article V now.

Well, Jeb Bush said he was OK with Ms. Lynch so there you have it, we’ve been given our instructions.

Of course the repubs will cave. It’s in their DNA. It is written in the stars.

All the chest-beating, indignant posturing and hot air going on prior to their approval of this affirmative action chick, is nothing but Kabuki theater for the chumps and doofuses at home.

If you just post your complaints here instead of barraging your senators offices to let them know your disgusted. They’ill never know we’re serious about this question..

Why not print this questionaire up encircle your answers and send it to your US Senator

Dear Senator
INS...Amnesty.. Forget about Ebola
We don’t allow cattle to enter without a background health and ancestry check which we also reqiure of legal immigrants who wait years and still go thru health and record checks. We also require that any legal immingrant demonstrate prior to entry that they offer a contribution to our society and not dependency upon it .

Yet we’re letting children and gang bangers in without doing any of this which has resulted in dispersing virulent new diseases (measles) and drug use which has resulted in unreported cases in schools where these illegal kids were placed.. Plus shoved a severe financial strain on local governments where they are placed .

Should any candidate for Attorney General supporting these practices be denied confirmation ?(Yes) (No) . Should the senate abandon the 60 vote majority for the “nuclear option” used by Reid when majority leader of the senate to any such candidate to be Attorney General supporting the above by applying the simple majority Reid rule. But citing the Hanen court injunction ruling that would restrict the use of the Reid rule only when such a ruling by a Judge were made ? (Yes) (No)

Should those given this bypassed favored treatment who miss their INS hearing be deported fortwith ? (Y) (N).. ? Denied re-entry (Y)(N) ? Snould that also apply to any illegal convicted of a felony (Y)(N)

In “countries where an American citizen decides to be a “legal” emigree never mind being a seasonal visitor still are denied voting privledges. Own land in their own name. Face steep fines before getting kicked out let alone denied income and energy subsistance including food stamps, or bring in family members .

I (do) (don’t) believe we should allow such full citizenship privledges mentioned above which are denied by the country of national origin of the above, to a legal American immigrant , deny such full citizen privledges to any (emigree) (seasonal vistor) (illegal) if their country does not allow those same privledges to any citizen of the United States, .
While such a position will be condemed as defacto deportation particularly by the political establishment .Would you continue to support a Senator who refuses to support such restrictions ? (Y) (N) Does that also include erecting border barriers such as fencing designed to discourage surrepticious or uncontolled entry ? (Yes) (No)

Should any American citizen which goes overseas to join a foreign entity fighting against the United States (such as ISIS) Be denied re-entry (Y)(N) and their citizenship revoked? (Y) (N) Should that person be charged with treason (Y)(N)

Very Truly Yours For Restoring the value of American citizenship and Conservative Government

She has agreed to not stand by the constitution, and will not enforce the nation’s immigration laws.
She will continue the lawlessness of Holder’s DOJ. The Pubbies can deny her but a few spineless and gutless ones will vote for her....sickening, as they are afraid of the “racist” lobby.

The Gonad-free GOP-e: Repeal the 17th Amendment

http://www.rules.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?p=RuleXXXI

This isn’t rocket surgery. The senate Foghorn Leghorns consider the nomination, and if as it seems apparent and it pans out that Lynch is no better than Holder, or even worse, they vote and reject the nomination.

Rule XXXI, above, it’s the Uniparty’s rule. Are they `winging it’ too, like Obama? No more laws or rules? The House of Lords aren’t following any rules anymore either?

What do we have to do to get these constantly balking, Obama’s rubber-stamping, (yellow?) Uniparty prima donnas to act?

OK, Yertle the Turtle acts like he knows the rule ... but yeah, I keep forgetting: we’re talking about non-Democrat eunuchs—the Republicrats—our gonad-free GOP-e.

Repeal the 17th!

“she refused to acknowledge that there are limits to prosecutorial discretion.”

This is what Ted Cruz said yesterday in his NH speech. He says that’s why he is voting no on her.

They should keep stalling if only to keep Holder from getting his golden parachute Wall Street job that will bring in more money than his wife who owns that abortion business.

"OK to vote, just do not confirm. She is worthless."

I very much would like to be wrong about this but unless something drastic happens before the vote, and as long as there is no conservative leadership in the congress...They will confirm!

Besides Jeb Bush says it is okay to confirm her.

Lee defended the Senate's refusal to vote on Loretta Lynch's nomination in the interview with Chuck Todd, saying that "she refused to acknowledge that there are limits to prosecutorial discretion."

Hopefully, that doesn't mean that if she agrees to lie to them and say that there are limitations, that it will all be OK.

I like Lee and would rather hear from him than MCConnel - here's hoping he doesn't give us reason to shun him as one of the solid conservatives. The trouble is that there are to many Dim-lites in our "majority so even the good guys may not be able to prevail.

Remember how the `rats fought Bush’s judge nominees?
Like tigers, filibustering nine in a row.
Then, when the `rats got the majority they changed the rules so they could ram their picks through with a simple majority.

The Grand Old Party reminds me of the parable of the man given money by his master.
He buried it, returning it when called upon.
Why do we give them power when they just sit on it?

Follow rule XXI, toss Lynch’s nomination out then call on the White House with the message: “Next?”

Why should we support a GOP establishment pick, say someone like `George III’? We might as well vote for the Donkey candidate.
