Oklahoma introduced a law allowing it to use nitrogen gas to kill death row prisoners if lethal injections aren't available.
Governor Mary Fallin signed into law a bill approving nitrogen as an alternative method of death, giving Oklahoma four different ways to enact its death penalty.
The method, which involves pumping a chamber full of nitrogen and leaving a prisoner's body to die from lack of oxygen, has been touted as 'foolproof' by supporters, in the wake of the embarrassingly botched lethal injections.
Executions in the state are currently on hold while the Supreme Court ponders whether the three-drug mix now favored by Oklahoma is constitutional.

The effects of hypoxia on the body are well researched and have been for 80 years. Tell these anti death penalty jerks that the only humane way to kill people is to blow them up. Instantaneous, painless, foolproof.... i am being sarcastic, but for a reason These people would be against the death penalty no matter what the method. They just use opposition to the method as cover for their opposition to the death penalty itself.

I’m more in favor of upon arrest for certain crimes, the arrestee is taken to a specific room and handed a revolver with one bullet and given five minutes to make their decision.

Before nitrogen, they ought to use a lead sedative to the head before the exposure.
I don’t know whether the $15.72 is correct, but I believe making the family pay for the cost of ordnance is the current practice in China.
Just take them to a garage and start a car. Give em’ five pints of ripple and a blunt.

It’s certainly effective. There is a ton of medical evidence showing that hypoxia is painless. Huge bonus: no toxic hazard to worry about.
I guess those opponents are unaware of the hypoxia training that people training for flight operations undergo. They are placed in a hypoxia chamber, and the oxygen is removed to simulate high altitude.
I just asked my husband about his hypoxia training. He said that when the oxygen was removed, he actually felt pretty good. He went into a euphoric state, until he almost lost consciousness, at which point the oxygen was restored.
So I doubt that much suffering will go on with this type of execution.
The challenge is to make sure the murderer is fully dead. They should probably should leave the body in the chamber without oxygen for a prolonged period, like an hour or so.
lol. I am not heartless. I understand that having a crack addicted whore mother and no father tends to lead you to a life of crime and perhaps murder. But once the deed is done, you must be punished.
The greatest thing we can do is convince blacks that Democrats’ FAILED policies are leading to these executions.
Never quite understood the enormous difficulty we seem to have in killing people painlessly. Seem to put animals to sleep without much problem. Maybe they should hire vets to execute criminals?
Or why not give them a truly massive heroin overdose? Use some of those confiscated drugs? They’d probably die with a big smile on their face.
Just drop the criminal into a vat of lye, when the screaming stops and everything is dissolve, then flush him into the sewer and let the sewage disposal plant take care of the waste.

While it may still be possible to kill yourself by running the car in the garage, it’s a whole lot more difficult than it used to be. Depends on size and ventilation rates of the garage, for instance, and many other factors.
