Whatever you do, don't make eye contact... in the Minnesota Senate?

The Minnesota Senate will keep its rule forbidding members from looking at one another during floor debate and will continue to ban everyone from having drinks on the Senate floor.

The issues arose Monday during the passage of the rules to govern the Senate.

On a 15-44 vote, the Senate decided to keep its current requirement that all speakers must gaze at the Senate president.

If only they were so doctrinare about bigger issues, such as the protection of our borders, or 2nd Amendment policies.

From the early 80’s through the late 90’s I put quite a bit of hard-disk manufacturing equipment into the Big Blue Zoo (IBM) in Rochester. Those guys all seemed pretty smart. Probably the only 7,000 smart people in the state.

The people of Minnesota are plenty smart. Most of them are just wrong, that’s all.
