Was TWA Flight 800 shot out of the sky?

As a former pilot, that is a question I get asked about all the time.

I’m no conspiracy theorist, but let’s be clear: Yes. I say it was. And I believe the FBI covered it up.

This pilot was one of the pilots who flew Obama around during the 2008 election. His credentials are unquestionable.

His basic point is that planes don't just blow themselves out of mid-air. He backs it up with anecdotes from other subject-matter experts.

It's crazy that this could be kept secret. I'm no conspiracy theorist, but this seems obvious.

He has spoken to people involved in the investigation. Friends of his. They said that the FBI actively thwarted efforts for a true investigation. Like I said, it’s anecdotal, yet credible.

Yes, again. But the secret is out. Been exposed for years now. And if the "official line" is center fuel tank explosion and if anyone is fool enough to believe that; then I have a bridge....

I read accounts of the story years ago. The one glaring account were multiple people on Long Island reported something rising out of the water seconds before the plane exploded and these were all not one location on LI.

Remember when James Kallstrom of the FBI said it was a missile, then changed his tune?

When he retired from the FBI a few years later, he got a new job.

Investment banker.

Job well done, James.

Never could figure out how being a gumshoe for 35 years qualified him for a high paying investment banking job.

And after all that investigation, how many 747’s were grounded to correct that possible short in the fuel tank? Answer: absolutely none.

That would be great, except for one thing: do we have evidence of a blast fragmentation pattern from a missile? Remember, the only missile that could bring down TWA Flight 800 on a viable basis is the SA-8 Gecko (9K33 Osa)--it's possible given that many 9K33 systems were sold to Soviet client states in the Middle East, and the terrorists may have jury-rigged a 9K33 launch system, including the radar system, to be fired from a medium-sized pleasure boat.

But since we never heard of any proof of a blast pattern from an exploding warhead of known small SAM systems, I don't believe the theory of a missile shooting down the plane.

Yeah, the article talks about a wedding party that saw contrails from the water and some other similar eyewitness accounts from other parts of the island. It seems unlikely that ONE former agent or some other official wouldn’t have talked by now. Or written a book.
