Full title: Travellers: So Colourful and Delightful That When They Arrive Their New Neighbours Want to Kill Themselves
In before links to Cher videos...
I’m reminded of Ray Bradbury’s novel “ Something wicked this way comes.”

To a room with some lace and paper flowers
Back to the gypsy that I was to the gypsy that I was
And it all comes down to you
Well you know that it does, well
Lightning strikes maybe once maybe twice
Oh and it lights up the night
And you see you’re a gypsy
You see you’re a gypsy
I wouldn’t kill myself ... I would take the loss and get the heck out of there!
In past times, the men of a rural or village community would band together and figure out ways to run criminals, squatters and troublemakers out of the vicinity without getting locked up themselves.
You start by stealing 3 eggs...
Pikers.
In Paris they call them Pushpiks... the way they work is they crowd you going through the turnstyle to the subway... like they are farejumping. But not only are they farejumping, they are lifting your wallet.
I suspect the loss meant they were nearly penniless.
It is clear that all the governments of Western Europe and the U.S. have been seized by a higher power and are determined to destroy the countries they control.
I’ll admit I’ve watched a few episodes of “My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding” - no reception is complete without at least one good fight. And the women dress more sleazy than any hooker I’ve seen.
I sure wouldn’t want them anywhere near me!
It could also be God paving the way for the Antichrist, so that God can finally render his full judgement against the world, once and for all time, during the Tribulation, as described in Revelation!
The gypsies in Paris are really bad news. I got accosted by a family of them in the park by the Eiffel Tower. If you don’t put money in the cup they get really aggressive.
They are bad news.
If you don’t know any other French, the one French phrase you must learn is “Allez-Vous-En” (Go Away)
That’s why you don’t walk around in big cities with a purse or backpack....But your wallet and any other valuables in a money belt or a bag that you carry in front of you....If you don’t look like easy pickings, they most likely will leave you alone.
That’s good advice. I used the universal “no”. :-)
when I was a little boy growing up in rural England my parents would tell me to “ be good or the Gypsies would come and get me “
they actually might not have been exaggerating
Yep, a good “F Off!” will pretty much work anywhere.
