Sen. Ted Cruz borrowed the "#ReadyForHillary" hashtag used by Hillary Clinton's supporters in the run-up to her official campaign launch to criticize the Democratic candidate on the heels of her announcement Sunday.
"We're ready for Hillary," the Texas Republican said in a video posted to his Facebook page just minutes after Clinton released her launch video. "We know exactly what to expect. Hillary Clinton represents the failed policies of the past."
Cruz, who was the first politician from either major party to formally announce his candidacy for president, tied Clinton to President Obama in what is sure to be a common Republican tactic in the coming months.
"Does America want a third Obama term, or are we ready for strong conservative leadership to make America great again?" Cruz said.
The first-term senator was one of several prospective and official GOP candidates who took to social media in the moments before and after Clinton's announcement to slam the Democratic candidate.
Carly Fiorina, the former CEO of Hewlett-Packard, posted a video on her Facebook page shortly before Cruz to criticize Clinton's record as secretary of state.
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker sent out a flurry of tweets telling voters that Clinton was "the architect of the failed foreign policy we're seeing executed by President Obama today." Walker is also expected to join the Republican primary in the coming months.
Earlier in the day, Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., launched a website, LibertyNotHillary.com, dedicated to opposing the former first lady's White House bid.
Paul touched off his own presidential campaign earlier this week.
Looks like we’re gonna have a fun day, for once! I NEED it!
Let’s nail down our talking points.
Hillary Clinton’s Record:
1) Murdered Ambassador in Benghazi
2) Wiped server clean
3) “Success” in Yemen
4) Accepted Millions from Foreign Governments
5) No Legislative success
6) No Foreign Policy success
Please add.
The Scooby Do Mystery Benghazi Van....
What a circus show..
Wealthy Queen Hillary trying to relate to the average Joe.
Like Queen Elizabeth going mono o mono with Hulk Hogan in a mud wrestling match..
We have to keep reminding these young female millennials that Hillary was behind the “nuts and sluts” program to destroy any woman who came forward, honestly, to speak of her relations with Bill.
All many of these young women know is they want to see a woman candidate/president. They know nothing of Hillary’s evil anti-women activities. Today’s 35 year old was barely in high school when Paula Jones/Monica Lewinsky/Gennifer Flowers/JuanitaBrodderick/Paula Corbin/Kathleen Willey - AMONG OTHERS - were victims of the Hillary-Podesta-Blumenthal-Carville-Forehead slander efforts. They need to be educated.
I've been paying attention of Carly Fiorina lately. I don't know her politics but I really love her style and her smarts. She would make a great VP candidate with Cruz at the top.
Not Guilty!
That literally had me laughing so loud that I scared my dog! Thanks for the laugh.
That was funny when it happened.
Did you see that post where I hoped Ted would start re-patriating business back here right now, ones that are confident he’ll destroy the regulatory and tax hurdles that forced them to leave? Wouldn’t it be great if he could get 20 big firms back before the primaries roll around? (yes, that’s a hint to pass along :))
Ready for Hillary makes her sound like some approaching disaster for which on e must be prepared or ready.
With Fiorina’s record at HP, she would be an Albatross as a VP Candidate.
She was skewered when she ran for Senate in CA. I think she struggled to get 40% of the Vote in that Race.
Just let her keep up shouting from the back of the room. She is causing enough friction that the Press has to report what she is saying about the Rats. Every little bit helps.
I don’t think that’s a recent photo of Monica.
