In the context of a van trip to Iowa for her, the reference to OJ’d means the wall-to-wall continuous TV coverage of OJ’s meandering sojourn in the White Brono.
It went on for a few hours, to the point where crowds formed over bridges/overpasses with sightseers and supporters.
