When someone says ‘quality of life’....they tend to think that you can assign numbers to life and find some trend that indicates happiness or negativeness....depending on the state, region or country you live in.

Having been around dozens of regions of the US, an area or two of Central America, and forty-odd regions of Europe in my life....I will attest to the logic that a guy can be awful miserable in some area, and the guy next to him can be the happiest guy in the world. Three feet apart, and a world of difference. The guy who thinks this can all be brought down to numbers and an entire society making or breaking the happiness or quality of life barrier....is wrong.

The destruction of society begins with the destruction of the family.

"There's no housewife degree. I've worked my butt off for four years to get this degree."

A journalism degree at Kent State? Sorry, your idea of "working your butt off" is not impressive. You're only fooling yourself.

Yes. Just ask Christer and Annie Johannsen how happy they are in that nannified state called Sweden.

I know how I was at 21. If I was married at 21, I'd be divorced by the time I was 22.

Marriage requires maturity and people mature at different times, with some not maturing at all.

No one is financially secure in this particular era....your financial security depends on past economic factors that can no longer be relied on. 100’s of trillions of debt guarantees that no one’s property or wealth is secure!

On a somewhat related note, I love it when detractors of the U.S. make comparisons to European countries in respect to crime. That's when I point out the fact that the violent crime rate among Norwegian-Americans is much the same as the violent crime rate in Norway. So many of America's statistics are skewed by demographics.

I am an old guy...my Grandchildren, of both daughters are not marrying, in their late 20s and early 30s....a number of my friends’ Grandchildren, same age group, not married no children....say we are looking at 20 Grandchildren, none are interested in children or marriage...and for that matter, not interested in the future...maybe I should say, unaware of the future....

Meanwhile the Muslims are busy populating the world....

One can never be financially secure.

Never trust kids talking about their future, because they don’t know. Adults don’t know either, but we’ve generally gotten smart enough to know that so when you do ask our answer is usually a big shoulder shrug. I had no intention at all of ever getting married... then I met the right somebody, and we’ve been married 23 years.

Abandoning marriage creates a void, guess what fills in that void....bigger government.

Very good point. I was not fit to marry at 21, nor for quite a long time after that. Finally married at 45, and I’ll stay married while we both live.

35 years of marriage, next January. I remember being single. I was not a happy person. I was a lonely person.

I think the species could certainly survive without marriage, but I’m not sure if the society would.

This is it in a nutshell. And of course, destroying the JudeoChristian society is the entire point of the Marxist sexual revolution. Free people live in strong families where discrimination takes place, and children are taught religion! The horrors!

No one is financially secure in this particular era

When everything went ker-fluey in 2008, hubby had, had a dream (nightmare) where he was sitting on the edge of the bed and he was realizing that everything he had could be taken away from him. Shortly after that, crash, our 401K became a 201K and he was wondering if he was ever going to be able to retire. He was in his mid-50's by then. Things are a little better now; but, he is still thinking 70s before he can retire with enough savings.

So, when young kids in your office are wondering why that old geezer isn't retiring so people can move up --- well, that crash is why.

Which is precisely why it is impossible to be socially liberal and fiscally conservative. Social and fiscal policies are joined at the hip.

the violent crime rate among Norwegian-Americans is much the same as the violent crime rate in Norway.

And the pc diversity policing, muslim immigration, muslim no-go zones and muslim-on-blond rape jihad in Sweden are out of control.

Also, both countries have let their feminists take over. They are worse there than here, if that's possible. They won't even use the traditional "-son" or "-sen" ("son of") ending on their names, preferring the dorky "-dottir" ("daughter of") ending, such as "Johannsdottir" instead of "Johannsen."
