In hundreds of police departments across the country, the percentage of whites on the force is more than 30 percentage points higher than in the communities they serve, according to an analysis of a government survey of police departments. Minorities make up a quarter of police forces, according to the 2007 survey, the most recent comprehensive data available.
Experts say that diversity in the police force increases a department’s credibility with its community. “Even if police officers of whatever race enforce the law in relatively the same way, there is a huge image problem with a department that is so out of sync with the racial composition of the local population,” said Ronald Weitzer, a sociologist at George Washington University.

Ask any hiring specialist. Blacks simply do not as commonly present the combination of a diploma, empty arrest record, no record of dope use, in the degree that is found in white applicants.
The ones that walk in the door that way are snapped up and are quickly promoted. The problem is that such black men as this usually see even greater rewards of the private sector.
Furthermore, they are very clear who causes crime. They generally do not want to interact with the element that they have carefully avoided letting influence their life path.

Lower standards an allow convicted felons on the force. No problem.
As far back as the '70's little old Glen Rose, Texas had a Plymouth police interceptor that sported a 2-4 carb set up poking up out of the hood, (and I assume on a moderate high-rise manifold) covered with a hood scoop modification.
There was no out-running that rig. And besides, it's just about impossible to out-run a radio anyways...
There is no race gap. Nobody hardly ever wins any races with the po-leece. Might as well pull it over when you see the lights in the mirror.

There’s more corruption and shaking down of minorities in majority non-white police departments.
Id like to know if there is a majority-black police department anywhere that has less corruption than Ferguson police department.
There is more to it than that; the steep drop in white births has created a scenario where almost all white cops are in areas where they are “over-represented”. If I join the force in a department where the larger population is 75% white, within a couple of decades it is sure to be 75% non-white due to the lack of white births and the ensuing white flight.

The writers should step back and ask why that might be the case. If they find the answer, it will make their politically correct heads explode.
Just like making most teachers in mostly or all black schools black teachers vaulted black students to the top of the academic charts.
It's almost as big in the NFL. 67% of NFL players are black.
How many “minorities” are willing to put their lives on the line for an ever increasingly dangerous job? For that matter, how many have even managed to graduate high school and are qualified to take on this task?
