Interesting but we don’t know enough to have an inkling of why. It could be
a personal reason or something else. The arena hosting the event doesn’t
allow guns in the arena. Palin was the only female speaker scheduled.

The Tennessean reporting that, "Palin, the outspoken, controversial former governor of Alaska, had been among the biggest names of more than a dozen Republicans scheduled to speak at the NRA's Leadership forum on Friday."
Just a guess that, with that many speakers, she didn't get a time she was happy with.
