Bo Ryan said a few minutes ago he didn’t like the officiating!! Welcome to the ACC Bo! We’ve been putting up with this garbage from Dook for 35 years. Signed. A TAR HEEL!

Mr. Wright - I concur with your thoughts 100%. A lot of it is just plain jealousy.

Jealousy is never becoming. The fact is the Tar Heels are in a long, slow decline. No one makes the players sign with Duke. There is a reason nationally ranked high school players sign with Duke and not North Carolina. I would think UNC’s coaching staff has spent many hours trying to get the same players, but can’t. UNC still gets most of the in state players, but hasn’t meant much in the recent past.

Will I can assure you for me it’s not jealousy. I just want a fair game. Crap that happened tonight just gives the haters something to complain about.

Like the cowboys td catch in the playoffs that was ruled not a TD because he didn’t make a football move... It was a ref screwing that up. Unless you’re a hater of the cowboys or on the NFL payroll most would day it was a TD.

Tonight unless you’re a duke fan boy with blinders you’d know the refs made it so duke was going to win. They may have won legit and no one could say the refs helped. But we will never know and the haters now have proof that the refs were helping duke.

Roy Williams HAS NEVER went after one and dones. Mike K. didn’t forever until he finally figured out the only way to compete with Kentucky was to recruit these one and dones. Calipari and Mike K. have for all intents and purposes destroyed the college game with their recruiting of players who have no intention what so ever of finishing school. Kentucky will lose 4 players off this years team. Duke will lose all three freshmen that carried them to the title. Three more wasted scholarships all for the glory of a win at all cost basketball coach.

And the result is that the games are pretty much unwatchable, the quality has really suffered since the days of Laettner.

There is no shame in recruiting one and dones. It's part of the game and has been for 15 years or so, if not longer. If I recall, Duke was the last major program in which no player left early and that is more than 10 years ago. Then all of a sudden three players announced they were leaving.

The game has changed and to expect no one in the world of college basketball to recruit the one and dones is a fantasy.

Since they can't play in the NBA, they will play somewhere. Duke is recruiting the best players available.

So it may surprise you that I agree with you that the college game is being destroyed. It is sad to see and I admit I no longer follow the game like I used to because there is little stability in the game. This is why a George Mason can stumble into a final four because they have a veteran team competing against many younger teams.

However, I certainly don't blame Coach K for this. He did not make the rules. Why shouldn't a coach want to recruit the best players available? I have read the NCAA would like the NBA to change the rules that you have to be out of high school for two years, but that will never happen.

As you know, many of these players do not grow up in the best environment. I completely understand why these players want to play in the NBA as quick as possible. You would, too. You would do the same thing.

The national championship is never called close. The NCAA doesn’t want the refs to be the star of the game.

Wisconsin’s coach isn’t complaining about too many fouls called. He’s complaining about too few. Duke, on the other hand, had an experienced coach in the final game, and he knows they do not ever call it tight. Duke had 13, Wisconsin had 15, and that’s just not a tight game.

But why should it be? I hate referee games through the season. Like we come out to watch the pinstripes run up and down the court.

Defense can get you to the tournament, but shooters win it. Both Wisconsin and Duke have shooters. Duke’s shooters won that game. It really can’t be described as a game determined by defense in my mind.

Greatest thing that ever happened to Mike K. was Dean Smith retiring. His old nemesis beat him like a drum for the almost 20 years they coached against each other, retiring with a 24-14 record against him.

It was a very close game until Duke broke out in the end. I don't think giving the ball to Wisconsin would have made a difference. Duke had the momentum and one possession wasn't going to stop it.

I was feeling bad for Wisconsin until Ryan started talking. Last night it was 'more contact than my team is used to, there was no need for that. But that's okay.' This morning I awoke to "I've never played rent-a-player. Some teams do. But that's okay." (No matter how a whine is wrapped, it is a whine.)

Contrast to last year when Duke lost to Mercer. (Mercer has a basketball team? Who knew?). What did Coach K do?

Coach K visits Mercer’s locker room to congratulate team on beating

“If we got beaten, at least we got beaten by a hell of a basketball team,” Coach K said, according to Fox Sports.

The one thing I drummed into my kids from rec leagues through HS sports was I did not care what is said in the locker room, when they were still on the field or on the court I expected them to show some class. If they lost, they lost. A bad call, a bad ump or ref? Play harder.

Neither team deserved the Championship & Kaminsky no more deserved to go out with the Championship than Hillary deserves to be president. If Ryan has issues with how teams are built, work to change it instead of whining about it after losing the championship.

That would be Bo Ryan, even though I am not a big fan of Paul Ryan these days. :)

I thought Ryan was whining last night. I was wondering if they played full contact basketball in the big 10 once he was done talking. He sounded surprised that the refs didn’t want to be the star attraction in the national championship game. That’s the difference between him and Krzyzewski who had been there before, apparently. Krzyzewski knew they wouldn’t call it tight.

“Wisconsin did not shoot well but the refs turned the game around.”

That’s how I saw it, too. But, it was a great ride and life goes on. On, Wisconsin! :)

I don't think giving the ball to Wisconsin would have made a difference.

The W player's hand propelled the ball towards out-of-bounds. Duke player's fingernail may have touched but could not be known for sure. One CBS angle of slow-mo close-up looked like it may have hit the tip of his fingernail. This is the one most people saw.

But there was a second angle up close and personal that show the smallest amount of space between his fingernail and the ball during those frames. CBS did not repeat THAT angle. Both slow-mo close-up angles showed the trajectory of the ball was not altered by the Duke player's fingernail.

Knew little about Bo Ryan personally beforehand except that CBS repeatedly said he was "a class act" and things like that. Perhaps he is most of the time, but...not last night.

Don’t really care but replay showed that he Duke player’s finger bent rom contact with ball, tho the ball didn’t.

Not that it would have changed the outcome. Duke won because of its superior guard play. Wisconsin pretty much controlled the paint.

Not that it would have changed the outcome.

How do you know that? Duke scored a crucial three-point basket on that possession, who is to say what would have happened if Wisconsin got possession and score. That would have been a potential five-or-six point turnaround right there.
